Balzac Campground RV Park & Storage

The showers are clean, but the doors don't even lock, the site is terribly uneven and not level. I had to move the trailer so as not to park in a pot hole. Quiet time it 11pm to 7 am, but we were woken to the sound of a lawn mower at 6am. The list continues. I would not recommend to stay here to anyone

We visit our kids once a year in Calgary for a few months in our RV Motorhome and alway stay at Balzac Campground RV Park.Our experience at this campground has always been great every year with good sites, decent weekly and monthly price, staff are very friendly and helpful, and the owner is very friendly and supportive. As well, location for us is between Calgary and Airdrie with the main highway a few minutes away so very convenient between two cities.We will continue staying at this campground when visiting our kids every year.

The showers looked really nice. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the water hookups looked really Jenky and the water tasted a lil funky.

It’s an open field right next to a highway. The traffic can be heard all through the night. No trees for shade or privacy. Spots are tight and close together.Lots of people living here, not just camping. It’s a run down trailer park.Showers were clean enough although you do have to pay. No refunds if you leave early. Would not stay here again.

If I could give this place ZERO stars ... I would.There is absolutely nothing appealing or beneficial about staying at this campground ... if you want to call it that. ESPECIALLY if you intend on staying there through the winter- no internet access unless you are right beside the office and even then, they won't give you the password- ZERO wind break available anywhere- ZERO noise reduction from Deerfoot traffic and you are close enough to it to make out the make and model of vehicles travelling on it- ZERO privacy between sites. Literally only had an 8 foot by maybe 10 foot section of grass" between us and the next site- sites are VERY tight to get into for trailers over 20 feet long- by the looks of all the derelict and abandoned vehicles on the property

Absolutely do not stay at this RIP OFF Place. I made reservations, paid the deposit then noticed they dont have wifi. Every RV park has wifi except this dump. I called back, she cancelled my reservation but would not refund my $45 deposit. Such POOR customer service. I would not recommend this place to anyone. What RV park today does not have wifi. I am a full time in my RV and the hundreds of places I have been have Wifi except this place. This place needs to get with the times or close up shop. Just look at the reviews, they are horrible reviews but very fitting for this place.

DO NOT ever think about storing your RVs in this place or you’ll regret big time!!!! DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE AS I DID!!!I stored my motorhome here hoping to do a driving trip around BC and Alberta after I and my family’s international trip. Only to find out that we were robbed. The catalityc was stolen and the wires underneath were cut. The batteries looked like were taken off because they were put back backwards (should I thank them because they put it back?). All these happened while the unit is in their property. I ended up paying more than $6,000 to get the stolen and damaged parts fixed.And that is just the biggest thing. There are still a lot of things to write about. If I can do a negative review, I would!

Essentially paid to boondock in a full hookup site. Imagine pulling into a sold out camp late after a long first day on the road of a month long trip and discovering that all pull thru sites are at 90degrees with narrow road ways making it difficult to put your 37ft trailer into it. Once you jockey around and get it in there, then you discover the shore power is reversed polarity preventing you from using the power and the water hose connection sprayed all over the power pedestal making it unsafe to use the power even if it was the right polarity.Maybe others have better luck but as for us, just turning in early and going to hit the road early to put this place in our rear view mirror as quickly as possible.

Sandy at the office is a right C U Next Tuesday, we were 1 say late because she does not keep office hours and we were evacuating livestock and people from the fires, went it to pay approximately 6:30 and office was closed. We have contacted the owner with video of her saying “she wants to argue” only to be left on “read”. They’ve been pulling people’s units out WITH ANIMALS INSIDE and slide outs out and completely destroying them. The woman in the office is very mentally unstable and potentially dangerous but the owner seems to not care. It use to be a ok park but since sandy started working there it has went completely down hill the roads are terrible with little to no maintenance done on them, wifi doesn’t reach past the office, and power needs MAJOR updating. With better staff it could be a good camp.

Moths and other bugs in the bathrooms. Only 2 showers work and have to pay to shower and the staff is disrespectful and has a creep working here who likes to stare and be disrespectful to women. A women who live here always brings her boy in the bathroom. A boy old enough to use the men's by himself, always so loud and runs around in the bathrooms even while you are showering. Just horrible place. Never go there. Find somewhere better.
