Went here few days ago for my birthday. Staff were super friendly and nice, the food was perfect (we had steak, and it was one the best steaks I've had).One thing that I didn't like was the fact that I was expecting a dessert with happy birthday on it, but that didn't happen lol. Also, the atmosphere is not what we see in the pictures, way smaller. But I would still go back :)

Having worked there many times, I can confidently say that it is a great place to hold such an important event as a wedding. The venue boasts of unique architectural details and character that adds to the ambiance of the occasion.One of the standout features of this venue is the friendly and helpful staff. They are always on hand to offer assistance and ensure that everything runs smoothly. The location is also fantastic, with close proximity to a waterfront and green spaces that provide excellent opportunities for a photo session.And of course, the food is simply amazing. From the pan-seared scallops to the fresh fruit sorbet, everything on the menu is a delight to the taste buds. These dishes are among my personal favorites and are sure to impress even the most discerning palates.Overall, I highly recommend this venue for anyone looking to host a wedding. The combination of stunning architecture, excellent service, picturesque location, and delectable cuisine makes it a standout choice that is sure to leave a lasting impression on all who attend.

Above-average food. The staff was friendly and always wore a smile, adding to the positive atmosphere.The ambiance was good.Just be aware that if you visit after 8 pm, there might be a slight rush in the service.Additionally, it’s worth noting that the menu is subject to change, so the dishes you see in pictures might not be available.I recommend this place for its overall experience.

Had a very nice dining experience at the restaurant. The service was excellent, and staff were very personable. I was very pleased with my old fashion that was well made and the Salmon was delicious. Although the highlight for me was the sticky toffee pudding!

As a wedding photographer, I've photographed many beautiful weddings here. The staff are amazing, the setting is spectacular (not much need to add too much of your own!) and it's got a great mix of indoor/outdoor feel right in the middle of Yaletown! Let’s start with the live music. It was quite lovely. The atmosphere was so gorgeous. Has a classy vibe which matches well with the over 100 years history of the building. The prawn cocktail had a super delicious sauce. So did the fish. The fish was one of the best with all its herbs and spices. The chicken was also nice. And, the wine flight was great.The staff were super friendly and made our dining experience lovely. We definitely will be back.

Brix and Mortar is a restaurant that offers a memorable culinary adventure, leaving a lasting impression on its guests. My dining experience at this establishment was a combination of impressive highlights and a few areas that could be improved upon.The ambiance at Brix and Mortar is undeniably charming. The interior design exudes elegance and sophistication, creating a welcoming atmosphere.The service provided by the staff (Savannah?) was attentive and courteous, ensuring that our needs were met throughout the evening. The servers were knowledgeable about the menu and offered insightful suggestions.However, there was a moment when I informed the waiter of a small hair on the ramen egg of the Ahi Tuna Salad (I think you can see it on the picture). Since I have already split the salad with my family members, I wasn't expecting anything other than a follow up. The waiter said let me check with the kitchen"

Wanted to really like this place what with the nice reviews and photos of the restaurant. Below are things that left a bad taste in the mouth:1. Made reservations online weeks ago, and when we get there we get a high top table when there was a booth spot. Hostess made the change after I made a request.2. Server was pushing the special and adding lobster tails at every interaction. She was pretty aggressive with her recommendations as if she gets commission for every lobster tail that gets ordered. When we wanted to share entrees and app, that's when the level of service really decreased. She barely came by after taking our order, and I think we waited over half an hr before the food came. The restaurant was not busy, so not sure what took so long for the food and there was no reassurance from her food was coming.3. The food was ok...the 22oz. steak we shared was bland and the server said the chef recommends having it medium"

This restaurant is perfect for a romantic date. We were lucky to sit in the courtyard on the second floor, just like having a date in a beautiful garden. As for the food, we ordered shrimp and fried cauliflower salad for appetizers, and they were both stunning. The flavors were rich and delightful. The steak and chicken for the main course maintained the high standards of a great restaurant
