Not good food at all anymore.. Gone really downhill since new owners.. not sure how Portuguese this place really is ... how is the rice so expensive when its simply rice! .. I wont be going back

Ordered a couple of trays of chicken for a family event/party. Chicken arrived hot, moist, and very yummmmmy. A few local guests complimented and asked where I had ordered it from. Very friendly service as well. I will definitely order again! Thanks! (Didn't take photos, but the pans of chicken were photo-worthy. Just removed lid and served with tongs.)

Ordered the quarter n 2 sides. I mistakenly said “extra Nando’s sauce” when I meant to say hot sauce…. At which the owner replied: “much better than Nando’s”…Rice was crunchy, potatoes were not all cooked through, and the food was cold. Didn’t even give me any utensils.Never been there before as some of the older reviews seem to have dealt with a different owner.Wish I knew of this place years ago.

Place and staff were great, but was dissatisfied with some of the food. Ordered some chicken and enjoyed it, but I also ordered some of the potatoes and was very dissapointed. Most were lukewarm if not cold, had no seasoning and had an earthy flavour- the liquid they sat in- some of it was put into my servings as it was scooped up- tasted very watered down. It came across as lacklustre and unappetizing after having a few. Would it reccomend ordering them unless they change their recipe.

It must have been bought out because they are definitely not Portuguese. I came on a Friday - there's no fish, not even fish fillets. The Parisian potatoes were not cooked - and who puts the sauce on them to sell ?!?! The chicken was certainly not what it was the in past which is sad.They had beef that looked like pulled pork, but it was full of grease. They had jerk chicken, but it was shredded and I wouldn't call that jerk chicken!I hate to say this but if you are going to buy out a Portuguese BBQ, please hire Portuguese staff to cook the food or change the name.

This is the best chicken in Barrie! The service is amazing the quality of food is amazing everytime and the value for what you get is exceptional! It’s fresh and delicious.. I’d prefer this anyday over greasy fast food other chicken places. Here your getting good quality healthy food for your family, you won’t be disappointed. The chicken with the rice and salad is really good. If your not a rice fan the potatoes are great with the veggies.. and he makes home made tarts which are to die for (highly addictive lol)

Been going there for a while.. but today, the dark haired boy who always looks down and never looks at the customers, he gave me a portion of meat that was not worth going back.. sorry guys.. I won't deal with that no more.. keep smirking when behind the counter.. ciao.. I am gone.. you won't see my face again. Very unprofessional staff. Like I have to justify going there.??. bye

I have eaten Portuguese chicken my whole life and I’m 54 years old. In no way did this chicken and potatoes taste anything at all like Portuguese that I have eaten. It was also so over cooked that it was impossible to eat without a drink. I would have overlooked it if it had the taste of Portuguese flavour from the pimento paste. Everything looked delicious and had that reddish look but nope. Plus the owner tried too hard sell me a plane bun for $2.00. When I said no thanks he then wanted to put meatballs on it and I again said no thanks. I’m afraid to know how much that would have cost. At least I know not to go back ever!!

Ordered the Deluxe Plus meal. The meal came as promised and the food was excellent. The owner followed up with a phone call to ensure all was fine. I recommend it to all.
