Farm Boy

I love Farm Boy, use to work at one. In these times with the cost of groceries sky high I am confident when Im spending a fortune for meat, veg and staples that Im getting quality for my money. Everything is overpriced now so we have to make sure we're getting the best for the money we're forced to spend to eat these days.

Purchased groceries here yesterday.. my girlfriend noticed a long black hair in with the pre-cut pineapple before we opened container.. Not driving across town just to return it, so I wrote this instead .Will inspect all items if I go back. Disappointed

The best part of this location is the staff. They are super friendly, on the weekends there are always samples, usually Sophie is there and she’s always so sociable! The cashiers are very congenial too!

One of the greatest place if you want to get ripped off... everything is overpriced and the lineups are insane. Not all registers are being used and make ppl stand in line while allowing ppl to take 10 min to pack their own groceries. Must be the same owners of rexall.

Farm boy is always very expensive. They do have excellent produce and meat, but most people go there for the fresh made bakery items and ready meals.

I used to like FarmBoy a whole lot more. I first went to their Ottawa location years ago. What I liked. Hot food bar, meats packaged for two, smaller proportions. Actual farmers market with plenty of local and small suppliers. Then Sobeys bought the chain. Prices went up, hot bar is all but gone, and now it's a corporate version of what some Sobeys exec think a farm market should be. Also I noticed meats ,especially chicken switched from local suppliers to the big conglomerate factory meat suppliers. Also I noticed a lot of local product is being replaced with FarmBoy brand which is just relabelled Sobeys brand. Shame.

Great variety of fruits, vegetables and spices. They have stuff you don't find anywhere else and all in a very good condition and for reasonable prices. Everything looks so fresh and tasty, it's definitely great quality food. It is my favorite market from now on, I love it.

Good food, you can get a lot of healthy options and ready made food, the sitting area is cool. The pastries do taste really dry though, I don’t know what it is but I don’t recommend any pastries or cookies, just cake, (those are very good) Otherwise it’s good.
