Boulton House
stopped in Thursday afternoon with 3 friends. The chef Brian stopped by and had a great conversation. He was witty and had great stories. He was willing to make make things off menu and made us 2 wonderful platters. It was delicious. We had a great time and great food. Thanks Brian

Boulton House
Our party of four today enjoyed a most memorable meal suggested by Executive Chef Brian at Boulton House. He stopped by our table to provide personal attention and entertain us with his stories. The special food platters that he personally made up for us were excellent. All four of us would highly recommend Boulton House, it's beautiful outdoor patio on the Mississippi and A+ staff in particular Chef Brian and our lovely server Megan .

Alrighty so we drove to this spot for the view and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Parking is easy and there is a charm of the little town! Now food was quiet a disappointment ! We got calamari and caesar salad to start with. Salad was average, you have to cut the lettuce urself! The calamari we couldn’t eat , the quality, the sauce was not to our liking. Mains took forever to arrive . My husband got fish tacos ( he ordered 3 got 2) then they rushed a 3rd one. Came with aside of fries that tasted like old oil. I got the fish with angel hair pasta. Fish was bland but fine now the pasta was soaked in oil which made the dish hard to finish. So sad for this bad experience because seriously the patio and the views are a charm! Hence the 3 stars

We had a lovely meal. The menu was varied, exquisite, and used fresh ingredients to get the very best. We sat by the river and watched the sun set making the whole experience very pleasant. Our server was attentive, but patient and let us enjoy our meal without being intrusive. The restaurant was not very busy so it was quiet and we could have a conversation in peace and quiet. Overall, it was a really nice night out.

This restaurant is amazing all-around! First of all the view of the waterfall is breathtaking from the patio. The drinks and food are exceptional! They have a cheese fruit and dip board that's hidden in the back in the desert menu, we started with that as an appetizer and were not disappointed, AMAZING!! There is no compromise between quality and quantity with the food. I would have to say the best part was the amazing service that we received from Hannah. She was so accommodating, friendly, knowledgeable, and made us feel at home. This place gets a 10 out of 10!!

I think the number of 1-2 star reviews in the last month for Boulton House are sadly an indication of poor and disinterested management. Our first visit we didn’t have a reservation, got a table on the patio and service drinks and food were all great. Subsequent visit without a reservation we were told there was no availability and the restaurant was half empty. Asking for a seat at the empty bar we were told the bartender said it was too busy and we could not sit at the bar. Our final visit we had an early reservation and arrived to a nearly empty restaurant. We were told after ordering our first cocktail that any subsequent orders would be delayed as the restaurant was expected to fill up with reservations. Forty five minutes later some tables had been seated but it was far from full. We had been told there were staffing shortages but our meal on our last visit was over cooked, and there was a real feeling of disinterest from the staff. So much potential - great location and great cocktails, but staff apathy or laziness will just ruin things. Recommend trying other restaurants so you don’t suffer the same poor bar service. We won’t be back.

We had the chicken & duck dishes. Both were good. One exception was the soup: unattended soup will get very salty. Service was good, but our main dishes came way too slow. Very long wait between appetizer and main courses.

We visited this restaurant on June 23/23. This was to celebrate my wife’s birthday. We had previously visited this restaurant and had a wonderful meal, and service, which encouraged us to revisit. However, both meals were dreadful, the service very poor. The cutlery dull, no way could we cut anything with the knives! Prices are high, and that should mean that all round it should be memorable. Not so! We won’t be returning. Perhaps they had a change of chef, but honestly the food was really awful. I wish we had taken photos, unfortunately we didn’t because, we think it’s bad form in a restaurant to do so, of what it supposed to be a good class restaurant.

The service was very friendly. Menu was good. Would have liked to see more vegetarian options but I still enjoyed what I ordered, did not get much of it but it was all I needed. I had the beet salad and my friend had the burger. Atmosphere was very pleasant loved the decor.
