The food is good, and atmosphere is nice. The portion sizes areridiculously small. Like I have never seen. One apple would feed 25 -30 people with these portion sizes. After we spend hundreds for two of us ($170 WithOUT the wine for what u see below. We had to eat when we got home. U can see in the photo (left) is the main course and the (right) was the appie, I missed the desert photo but u get the idea. I thought the main course was an appie then they brought desert, I was in shock. Should have put a dime in there for size. The food was good but we were hungry which is why we went out for dinner. I can not recommend if u r looking for a meal or are hungry if u want very expensive light snacks this is ur place.

Absolutely impeccable experience from ambiance to service to food. The food was beyond incredible. I highly recommend ordering 1 item from each section of the menu and sharing with your table. The care and attention put in to the ingredients, preparation and plating is so beautiful. To see such creativity on a plate is a true joy!! I will be back again and again. Thank you!

Amazing, unique dishes: this restaurant is worth a try.Really small restaurant, we made reservations ahead of time. It has a limited but focused menu highlighting seasonal ingredients.If you get the chance definitely stop by.

My husband and I are foodies and have been to many Michelin restaurants. Our experience was worth a Michelin star. An absolutely wonderful experience! Food was outstanding in quality, flavour and presentation. Staff was knowledgeable and very friendly.

We celebrated a family birthday. They have a private room in the back for a larger group which was perfect. An interesting wine list with lots of BC wines to choose from. The food was fabulous, very fresh with subtle flavour combinations. It was perfect for a warm summer evening. The six course menu let’s you try more things and the three course has larger portions. We felt it was an imaginative presentation of what the island has to offer in a serene and enjoyable setting.

Part of me wants to keep this a secret but I need to share how wonderful our meal at De L’ile was! The halibut was perfection but our guests raved about dessert. Don’t pass on the bread, it’s amazing.

After trying for the first time, I immediately booked a second reservation. Their dishes do not disappoint, go carte blanche and you will be taken care of. Their flavours and combinations are expertly designed by the chefs. Do not sleep on De L'ile, my wife and I returned everyday after for the bakery and was blown away. Easily one of the best if not top restaurant in western Canada.
