Chartwell Chatsworth Retirement Residence

My parents moved into Chartwell Chatsworth in October 2022. I live out of town and now have peace of mind to know they have delicious & nutritious meals everyday and the staff are always kind & helpful :)! Recently I was able to visit with my senior Border Collie, she brought smiles to the staff & residents' faces. I am pleased to know my parents are safe and well looked after at Chartwell Chatsworth....thank you to all the staff ..it feels like home :)

My Dad moved in almost a year ago and the food is terrible. He had a lot to say about it everyday that it is barely edible.When it snows they don’t shovel between the cottages and the building so they are stuck there and not able to cross without fear of falling and injuring themselves.He’s likes it there but disappointed with these things.

I came to live in Chatsworth six years ago, living here has been a better experience than I expected; starting with the staff, all of them are very kind and helpful. The food is very good, if we do not like the day’s menu we always have other choices. We have many activities and entertainment.Chatsworth feels like home and even better because we can have friends living in the same house.

After my dad’s hip replacement surgery I had to move my parents from their own home quickly. They needed assistance and Chartwell Chatsworth seemed like the perfect place for them. And it definitely has proved to be. The staff know every person who lives there as well as their family (like me). My parents think the food is great but the extra care that the staff provide is what is amazing to me. If anything happens to someone, the staff respond immediately and will do what is necessary to help. I feel my parents are very safe living there. Every day there are several varied activities and I see my mother being more social than she has been in years. Thank you to all the staff at Chartwell Chatsworth. You are very much appreciated!

I had the pleasure of taking my therapy dog to visit the residents at Chartwell Chatsworth. Everyone was so welcoming and Caroline was the most attentive host who took me to visit all the residents. The facility is beautiful and everyone seemed to be very happy there. My dog and I enjoyed listening to all the resident’s stories about their dogs, and I even got to play them a little song I composed on the beautiful grand piano in the lounge.If there comes a time when I need to place my dad in an assisted living facility, I would definitely look into placing him at this wonderful venue.

I started at Chartwell as a receptionist last November and I've loved it ever since! I worked in finance previously and moving from that, to working with our residents has been a game changer for me. I love the diversity of both our staff and residents. I get to learn so much from so many people with different experiences and perspectives. This is the first place where I've truly felt like a valued member of the team and felt supported and respected as a worker. I've gained tons of work experience here and learned a lot!

A couple of years ago the time came when my family felt it was time for me to make a move to where I was safe 24/7. My son went looking around Kelowna and was very impressed by the cleanliness of Chatsworth and it had a very comfortable feeling as he came in. He then talked to a friend of his who’s mother lives there and he said “it’s so great there, my mother is so happy there”. I had read an article somewhere that said when you look for a place to live when you are a senior check to see if the staff are happy there and if they are you will be too and that has been my experience here. Nowhere could you find staff as good as ours. They are kind, patience, helpful and friendly. One resident here always says “I feel like a queen here”. One thing you find here is that if you have a dog and if there’s a room on the main floor you can bring your dog with you, for me a friendly dog helps to make a house a home. You always get well balanced meals, no one leaves the dining room hungry, even if your on a special diet. There’s lots more great things I could say about the Chatsworth. I am very happy here!

We came here because my wife and I were both having some health problems and needed more help. We have never been disappointed, the staff are excellent. Its a clean, well maintained building and the meals are good. Lots of fun activities to take part in. We would highly recommend Chartwell as a place to live.

I had the opportunity to interact with the residents of Chartwell Chatsworth.It was an absolute pleasure to see the way senior residents are taken care of. The recreation manager, Caleigh is an amazing person, so personable and has a deep, caring relationship with each of the residents.Overall a great community for seniors to live in with top class facilities and personalized care.

As a volunteer, I am very impressed with Chatsworth and the number of programs available for the residents.The bus is very handy taking residents to appointments, shopping, excursions to different restaurants, fruit and ice cream trips during the summer and site-seeing tours. The staff are very friendly and accommodating and the monthly birthday celebrations are always a fun get-together. It is very clean and well kept and I especially like the path that winds around the building through the gardens. There is also a growing area for those who love to garden and grow there own flowers or vegetables. It is worth the 5 stars.
