Shelby Herfst Photography

Shelby took some band photos of us during a recording session and she was so fun to work with!! Her talent is incredible and she made us feel comfortable and captured our vibe so well!! She’s amazing!!

Shelby has a way of making people feel comfortable in front of the camera, and all of her shots come out looking very natural and candid. She is very professional, works around my schedule, and always delivers pictures within a week of the shoot. I would hire her again for website pictures, a family photoshoot or product shots, big fan of working with Shelby!

5 stars doesn’t do Shelby’s work justice! Not only do my husband and I LOVE our maternity photos, she made our experience fun while also being professional. We felt as ease and guided without feeling overwhelmed. 100% recommendation Shelby!

Shelby did our newborn family photos and was outstanding! She makes you feel so comfortable (even if taking pictures isn’t your thing) and the pictures turned out amazing. Love her.

I have worked with Shelby on multiple occasions, with three different organizations, in three different settings/environments, and she is WONDERFUL! Have nothing but great things to say about working with her. Most recently she did a very creative shoot for a brand that required her to engage with our clients in a very unique way. Her empathy and natural ability to connect with people made her such a joy to have photographing our event.

While we didn’t contract directly with Shelby, we had the pleasure of working with her at our wedding where she was the second shooter for our photographer – Kat, from Art & The Aerialist.Shelby was awesome! She displayed an incredible attention to detail – on people like a hawk if they had things in their pockets for photos lol – and was very thoughtful in her approach to working with us and our guests.She was very nice about bringing and removing a blanket for my wife, who was chilly in between photos. Shelby helped keep things organized and on track throughout the day’s events, and was also just very fun to spend the day with! We had multiple guests comment on her ability to crush it on the dance floor while simultaneously photographing the goings on.I’d have no doubts or reservations recommending Shelby if you’re considering her for your photographing needs!

We love Shelby! Not only is she amazing at capturing candid moments, her detail shots are always beautiful.She is also fun & easy to work with, making people feel calm and comfortable in front of the camera!
