Mountain View Medical Clinic Kelowna

I hope DR TAM. sees this. My doctor of 21 YEARS retired and I was forced to find another doctor in the area suddenly. Dr.Tam happened to nicely accept my family. Once your doctor retires, all prescriptions are invalid. I have depression/social anxiety/panic and 3 other daily medications, so right away I was stressed about getting my medications refilled. I go to see Dr.Tam at her meet and greet and she informs me she would like to view my records before refilling any prescriptions. So I order my medical records from where they were being held and waited for them to arrive. Which takes us to today. I go in with the intent of refilling all medications, which was her instructions to me. With a main focus on one particular issue. Everything seemed fine, I then proceed to ask if my other prescriptions were refilled as they are invalid. Dr. Tam then goes on and on over her policy to only have ONE issue per visit. WHICH I UNDERSTOOD. She wasted so much time trying to retell me. I mean I don't believe it is necessary to return 4 times to get 4 refills especially when you only work 2 days a week at this location. The worst part of this is the attitude and rude behavior. Came across quite unprofessional. Even if you are upset, you cant show it as a doctor at work. You need to deal with different personalities and be respectful. I was confused on why she was so defensive with me. I just wanted to make sure I was leaving with refills and she WALKED OUT on me while I was talking and didn't say goodbye. She also showed how annoyed she was at me. IT WAS VERY CLEAR. I am 21 years old and was confused as I have gone to the same doctor for 21 years. I have never written a review but I left today CRYING for 40 minutes, I am already depressed and have social anxiety. I dont need the added stress from a DOCTOR trying to 'help.Really hope someone reads this. and if its you Dr.Tam maybe think about how you communicate with clients as I was confused and didnt mean to upset you or interrupt. Thanks for all you did today but you really hurt my feelings. At this point I wish my old doctor was back and thats not how I wanted to feel leaving my first visit with you."

Dr. Tam is friendly, patient and professional.

Dr Medinski is very kind, knowledgeable and always helpful.

All of the staff at Mountain View Medical are outstanding. Their office exudes warmth as soon as you enter through the door, the staff are welcoming and efficient. Expect to be treated with kindness and patient centred care at this clinic.
