Woody's Hardwood Flooring

We had Woody's install hardwood floors at our new construction home in McKinley Beach. I loved the ability to customize the color to exactly what we wanted and that they were a higher quality product for a lower cost than hardwood bought from local flooring stores. Definitely check them out if you are in the market for new floors!

Woody’s flooring in Kelowna did a great job refinishing our hardwood flooring. Their team was professional, efficient and hardworking. They completed the job in 2 1/2 days with little disruption to our home. It was a nice surprise to discover we had acacia wood under our dark existing flooring so it really lightened up the room and they were able to fill in the numerous cracks between the boards that we had in our flooring from being improperly installed originally in 2007. From a phone call to a refinished oak floor in no time. Ken was quick to respond to my request for a quote from their webpage and answered all our questions and came up with a plan to redo all our dark stained Red Oak flooring to a natural bright finish. His crew was prompt, polite and very organized. We are more than pleased with the final results and highly recommend this company.

As we planned a 1000 sq ft addition to our home the dilemma persisted as to how to deal with our 4000 sq ft of existing hardwood in order to make a seamless matching transition. During the design phase we were continually told refinishing would not be a feasible option and ripping out all the old and installing new floors was recommended. That presented us as waste of time, money, and not an environmentally friendly option. Thankful we meet Ken, owner of Woody’s Hardwood, at the home show who presented a much different perspective.Ken’s knowledge and passion was refreshing to see. Our project entailed matching existing dark oak hardwood with new lighter. Brightening up our home was priority and we loved the look of a white oak finish. When the Woody’s crew started sanding our old floor’s we could not believe our eyes how beautiful and detailed the process was, the transition from old to new was so seamless that it was almost indistinguishable as to what is old vs new. We also installed a herringbone pattern in our dining room and absolutely love how it turned out and the contrast it provides.We chose to finish the white oak with a matt sealer that preserved the beautiful natural color of the wood (oak can go yellow with some finishing products). Based on our experience, on site install and sanding finish is the way to go, leaving you with a beautifully finished product.With Ken’s extensive knowledge of hardwood and finishing, a team that was a pleasure to work with, we would highly recommend Woody’s.We absolutely love our new floors and home!

Outstanding job! We have a house that was built in the 1990's. Solid light oak hardwood floors in kitchen, family room and foyer. Beyond that was a carpeted dining room and living room. We wanted to extend the hardwood to the dining room and living room area. While we thought there might be some trace of transition... we cannot tell any transition at all. Of course we had the old floor sanded and stained to blend it and now we have beautiful, REAL hardwood floors. His employees were respectful and polite. Employees represent the owner and they were great. We highly recommend Woody's and certainly would recommend saving any old real wood floors rather than replacing with laminate of any type.Re. photos...
