Star Rock Cottage

Star Rock Cottage is in a quiet but easily accessed location only 15 minutes drive from the Northumberland Ferry at Wood Islands, a short walk to a quiet sandy beach, and is beautifully appointed, clean, bright, cozy, with a well-equipped and well-provisioned kitchen, luxurious towels and bath-robes, and luxurious bedding on very comfortable beds. On rainy days there is a TV with several digital channels and some interesting books on the shelf, on fine days there is a fire pit with wood provided, plenty of outdoor seating and lawn to play on, plus the antics of the sheep in the field nearby and changing mood of the ocean are views from the cottage that are sufficient to fill your day there, whatever the weather. If you don’t want to cook for yourself, Murray Harbour is only 4Km away, where the Harbourview Restaurant has the best seafood chowder, other great seafood choices and a variety of excellent pies all homemade by the owners. Other local attractions include the nearby Rossignol Winery and several other quiet sandy beaches, but the real beauty of this place - aside from the cottage’s own unique beauty - is its situation in an uncommercial, peaceful, rural area. Finally, Susan and Dave are excellent hosts; their care and attention to detail to make sure your stay is comfortable is above and beyond. Star Rock Cottage is excellent value.

We stayed at this amazing little cottage in June 2018. Had a wonderful time. Very clean and well kept. Well equipped. The hosts were amazing. We can't wait to return.

We are well seasoned cottage renters and spent July 16-23 at Star Rock cottage. It is a gem!Susan and David are very warm, welcoming and thoughtful owners. The location is beautiful...sheep and horses graze the surrounding land and are a calming presence. The chickens do their thing and produce delicious eggs with a rich golden yolk. Susan's potted flowers and beds as well as herb and vegetable beds around the cottage are lovely. There are a few areas set up outside to permit viewing different parts of the property.The cottage is very clean, attractively decorated to reflect the colours and spirit of the coast. The furniture is very comfortable but perhaps a little crowded. The kitchen and bathroom are remarkably well equipped. The outdoor shower was a pleasure.We really would like to return to visit the cottage and see Susan and David again.Chris and Manny

Absolutely an amazing experience .We had a project requiring 25 sheets of one color. We ordered it and it was shipped to us the next day. After examining the product we found it to be flawless. The product installed amazing he checked in with us to see if any issues. Top-notch product and professionalism.

This cottage is absolutely perfect and the hosts are the nicest people i've ever met. The cottage is very private, extremely well maintained, it looks like it came right out of a design magazine, well decorated, the beds and furniture are very confortable, you'll feel like you're home the moment you get there. Two minutes walking distance from the beach, the sheeps and horses and chickens in the field will make your kids smile. Great location in a quiet area of the island,

Star Rock Cottage is a hidden gem in one of the most peaceful coastal areas of Prince Edward Island. We have stayed there for several summer vacations and each time, the owners have gone above and beyond to make it perfect. This cottage is near the beach and nestled on the owners' farm. There are sheep and horses, which make your stay that much more enjoyable. There is a screened porch, where morning and evening coffee can be enjoyed (bug free), as well as a lovely firepit on the cottage grounds. The cottage is well equipped and has all you need to feel at home, including fresh farm eggs. The relaxed atmosphere is a sure way to get you refueled and well rested. This cottage comes highly recommended.
