Hotel Villa

I chose one star because that is the lowest I could go! Our room there was horrible! It was so small that you could not pass by each other at the same time. The air conditioner was broken. We had to switch rooms. The new room was on the 6th FL. The elevator only goes to the 5th FL! This room was no larger than the previous. Got smaller refrigerator. The shower knob was broken off, only a stem from the reservoir is what we had to use to control temps and waterflow. There was mold in the shower. The lobby carpet was soiled and needed vacuuming. The ironing board was aone that had to be placed on the bed in order to iron. Not one closet in there. We had to hang our clothes on the back of the door. Upon return on Saturday night, there were mobs of people outside the hotel from the club a couple of doors away. People were sitting on the steps. We had to walk through the throng of people to get inside. This place should be listed as a bedroom, not a hotel room. Definitely sub par!

I was concerned after reading the reviews, but Hotel Villa is fine if you're looking for an inexpensive stay. It definitely looks like a budget hotel inside and out -- it's not pretty -- but it wasn't dirty or in disrepair.I was with a big group so we had several rooms on the 3rd and 4th floors, and it's clear that the quality varies from room to room. Some were much prettier and bigger than others, some had a few moths, but others were totally fine. None of the rooms had bed bugs.Just be careful you know what you're getting, as the cheapest rooms don't come with bathrooms attached, and you'll have to use the communal bathroom on each floor.

The rooms are affordable and clean. But inconvenient in the sense that a bathroom is shared. Also rooms are not as big as expected and in summer they put cheap air conditioner on the window that sometimes doesn't work. That would be very apreciar if it's improved

This place was surprisingly good, considering how affordable the rooms are. We weren't expecting much for the price, but the rooms were clean and well maintained, good included WiFi, polite and friendly staff. The only real negative was that the door to the bathroom in our room was windowed, with only a thin curtain you could see right through. That was weird to us.

DO NOT SLEEP IN THIS HOTEL, except if you like little friends in your bed.I had a room with shared bathroom that was simply disgusting. The first night I found bedbugs in the bed and they told me that I couldn't change room and not even have a refund. The next day they changed my room in another one on the same floor. In this one it was impossible to open the window, because there was a wooden plank blocking it.After four days since the stay, I am now full of bedbugs bites.

Stayed Feb 5-8 2016. Amazing staff at the hotel, the room was super clean as well as the bathroom. Walls are a little thin and could hear people and music from outside but not bad enough that it kept us awake, amazing store with delicious crepes next door and a short distance to all kinds of sights and bars. Definitely more than I was expecting based on reviews and price. Would recommend to anyone who asked and will definitely be returning

Hotel Villa has a delightful old world charm. The rooms were simple, cozy and equipped with all basic necessities. Despite paying for a shared bathroom, the receptionist insisted I take a room with a private bathroom for free. Very pleasant experience overall. I will definitly be going back next I'm in town.

The only reason I gave 1 star is because of excellent customer service.The hotel rooms are very small compared as to impression from online advertised room, the room air conditioner is full of dirt and spider-webs, the bathroom wall, refrigerator side has molds and the carpet is dirty. Guess what ? the elevator stops at 5th floor and do not reach 6th floor, I had to climb up the stairs with your luggage. I complained about the initial room because the room air-conditioner is broke and the room changes made is not any better

Room was nothing like advertised. Tiny and very “crappy dorm room” feel.The room for two adults but does not fit two adults. Sink in room is the proper height for a child, mirror is smaller than the rear view mirror in my car and the chair is stained. Not impressed. Good location though, will give it that.

Staff was great! I made a mistake in booking and the concierge went above and beyond to help us out. It is located right downtown so it's great if you are looking to party and shop. It is also very close to the Megabus, Greyhound and VIA rail stations.The room was basic but clean and supplied with basic amenities. We enjoyed the decor and the cozy feel; seems more like a nice hostel than a hotel.We did notice that if you treat the staff with any disrespect, you will be not be treated as nicely; especially at night. The rules are very clearly posted however and it's easy to follow them.Overall, great value for the price, I would recommend to my friends and I would go back.
