Thrifty Foods

I love this store. People are always super friendly and it's got that high end feel to it. Nothing is broken down and filtly like Wally world across the street. It is definitely pricy but there's always some really good sales. Highly recommend.

Thriftys Morgan Crossing is our favourite grocery store. However the seating area has been removed from the bathroom/floral area. For senior citizens like myself, this makes Thriftys no longer a choice to shop. As a senior citizen with some mobility and balance issues, I always take one or two breaks to sit down while I do my weekly shopping. Without the seating or the placement of a bench inside somewhere, I won't be able to continue to shop at Thriftys. I have spoken on the phone to a nice young supervisor who said management would call me to discuss the issue.

Outstanding Food Delivery service!! First time we have tried the online order and delivery for Mom. She was overwhelmed and said the food quality of Fruits and Vegetables was outstanding. The food choices were great, prices are fair and service outstanding. Thank you Thrifty Food staff for doing such a great job! We will be back for more deliveries in the future.

What an incredible store! Their fresh food sections are best in class. I've never seen a seafood or meat counter so abundantly stocked with such premium products before. Even without the dry aged meat section, this store was already a cut above, but with it, no other grocery store comes close.The bakery and deli are equally as impressive, giving off a market feel as you shop. If you are looking for a grocery store to fulfill your needs, try this place. The friendly and knowledgeable staff add to the whole pleasant experience.

My parents used the lottery desk at Thriftys after checking their tickets online and knowing they had won some money. Lady said, no they were already checked and handed the tickets back without giving them money. When they go elsewhere because they knew she was incorrect, they say the cannot claim it anymore because they were paid out somewhere else. So who got the money? She still works there. Terrible!

This Thrifty's holds on to fresh stuff too long. Often the vegetables show signs of spoilage, and this week I purchased 2 expensive specialty cheeses both of which were mouldy under the labels. I should not have to slice off and throw out spoiled portions of food they sell. They should be discounting food that either is visibly or might no longer be at its best.

This is a review for the floral department. My review is for my wedding bouquet and boutonniere. Trying to plan and conversate with the head florist Reanne was not a pleasure at all, at times she was rude and wasn't much help when asking about colors, flowers and styles etc. Your pretty much left on your own to figure out your bouquet, she gave no suggestions or feedback.The worst part was that my bouquet was given to my husband the morning of the wedding untied and open in a bucket of water. I had told her he would pick them up first thing in the morning 7:30am. He had to go back at 8am when someone from the department arrived to have it tied. And I was also very disappointed with his boutonniere. It was a simple white rose but the rose was given to us closed ( hadn't bloomed yet) so it was this shriveled up rose that didn't look very nice in photos. Also they didn't give us pins to put the rose on his suit jacket. :(
