I wish people would stop doing stunts in front of the public dock . This should be a no wake zone but it is not

Buckham's Bay Boat Launch
One of the few spots around to launch your boat. Most other boaters are courteous, ample space for maneuvering and parking up the road. Take your time and communicate with those around you.

Decent ramp and dock for a free launch. Can get very busy in the afternoon, especially with guys who need more practice backing up trailers and boats.

Don't get me wrong, this is a fantastic amenity to have in the Bay and I appreciate it.That said though, there is no pier or dock to tie off for loading or unloading (currently).You will need two people. One to hold onto the boat while standing in the water while the other parks the vehicle. And whoever you're loading in the boat must get climb into the boat from the water.

Nice concrete pier and boat ramp, better angled than the Fitzroy ramp so likely an easier launch, but not much room to turn around; you'll be backing down Ritchie street to the water. Can get very busy as many have said. Also, as someone else mentioned, nowhere easy to tie up, given how low the water was when I was there. I'd launch with an extra pair of hands to hold the boat etc but probably not by myself.

Buckham's Bay Boat Launch
The boat launch is down a hill. I waited 25 mins to launch as once it's crowded, only one boat can launch and unload and so forth, at a time. I also had to hang around the dock to get my boat out of the waters. It's a super busy boat launch, for all the times i have visited. The waters were nice and open.Many fish to be caught in the Ottawa River.
