Revolution Recording

Revolution is nothing short of a world-class recording studio with the staff and expertise to match. I just had two intensive days recording my jazz quartet - it was a logistically complex and detailed set up involving full isolation, multiple guest artists, and a 3-man camera crew. Kim and Stephen were extremely responsive by email in the days leading up to the session helping us confirm the many details that needed to be sorted out.During the sessions Stephen and Luke (our engineers) were extremely knowledgeable and captured top notch sounds while expertly fielding whatever technical issues inevitably crop up during a recording session. We felt very well taken care of which allowed us to focus fully on the creative side and I'm very impressed with the audio that was recorded. Creighton was also a huge help and a very friendly and welcoming presence around the studio.The space itself is gorgeous - we were in 'Studio A' and made full use of their main hall, and three isolation booths. The space is equipped with just about every piece of gear you could possibly want and looks very striking on camera, an ideal place for a video shoot.Can't recommend Revolution highly enough, an incredible studio run by folks who are at the very top of their class in just about every respect!

I booked in a 3 hour recording session in Studio A with a grand piano for my father and he had a great experience. We both thought the sound engineer Christine was very professional, accommodating, and kind. She made my dad feel at ease (he'd never recorded before) and was very patient. Booking in with the owner Kim was easy and they were very responsive for any questions I had. Head engineer Stephen was also helpful on the day. There were nice seating areas to relax with coffee or tea while the recording happened or in breaks. We have listened back to all the audio files and they are great quality. Very professional studio, skilled staff, and my dad said he now wants to go back for even more sessions and would request Christine again! Grateful to the team at RR.

Revolution is first class in every respect. The space itself, as well as any technical equipment is beyond reproach. What really singles Revolution out in my opinion though are the people. Recording at any level can easily become a nerve wracking experience, but the folks at revolution are of the highest order when it comes to professionalism, technical expertise and kindness. They have managed to put me at ease more times than I care to remember. Having the confidence that these guys will always be there for you is literally priceless.

Excellent response times when booking, very diligent covid protocols in place, friendly - Kim, Creyton ,and Luke made me feel at home to have a very productive and fun recording session on piano and vocals. I had to have several takes with one song and I asked Luke, what take is this?" and he responded with a very calm "it doesn't matter" :) which was the perfect answer to keep me relaxed and motivated to keep going. Very pleased with the resulting song files. Will be going back for sure! Highly recommend!"

Taking a moment to give a shout out to Kim and the team at Revolution as our album gets ready to drop!My ensemble, Solidaridad Tango recorded our debut album here to a live audience. The entire team at Revolution is incredibly professional and easy to work with, the gear is out of this world, the acoustics perfect for string instruments.We were also really happy with the accommodations that the studio made to make us comfortable. The super comfy lounges and eating areas made us feel at home, and we particularly appreciated the quiet and private space for young moms and kids. It's the little touches like this that go towards making such experiences truly accessible to women musicians, and as an all-woman band, we appreciate it.

Revolution Recording is the BEST recording studio in Toronto. The staff are very friendly and respond quickly to questions. The space is clean and large, with a fresh pot of coffee always on the go. The main room and isolation booths are beautiful and very well designed. The audio quality from the records is very high. I highly recommend this space to record your next album.

This is on a very quiet street in a far side of the city. It is ideal for a recording studio. You will be greeted with friendly person, then rather wide coffee and tea area, then a room with couches and table with water.There is also a much bigger room/kitchen that has 4 dinner tables.The recording studio is a very large room can easily contain a string orchestra with a glassed two side rooms, that is about 8x20 eachThe engineer was fantastic. The conductor was the best, not only artistically but also kept everyone still in the best humor mood to the end of a ten-hour- (stressful) day.I have had all the best memories working here.

I had a great experience recording at Revolution. I typically do my own recording, but I don't have a dead room, so I recorded some acoustic guitar and vocals with Stephen. Like the other reviews said, the expertise here is great. So is the equipment. So are the COVID protocols!

We just finished a three day recording period at Revolution and it was an incredible experience. The staff were so knowledgable and welcoming. I am new to the recording process and they made me feel very at ease. They provided an inspiring environment for the performers and the rest of our team and, as a result, we walked away with a beautiful recording. Many thanks to the Revolution team!
