We were very impressed with Tyler and his team throughout the entire process of putting a new roof on our rental home. The quote was accurate, the installation team was courteous and conscientious, and the end result is a new roof that will last for many years. They also did a great job of repairing the leak on the roof our home. We look forward to having them repair the eavestroughing issues we have with our rental and with our home. We would highly recommend them to anyone who requires services in this area. Thank you, Sambor Roofing!

We highly recommend Sambor Siding & Windows divisions, especially Paulo and Jay, due to their exceptional customer service, attention to detail, quality of work, and affordability. We have a late 1800s wooden house that is very quirky, and I had no idea it could look so good.

We bought a new house in August, and in September we contacted Sambor roofing to replace the roof on our old house so that we could put it up for sale in the fall.Great deal of swearing, yelling, and arguing amongst the crew. Nails everywhere, including in our driveway . Cigarette butts everywhere, including inside a toy bin sitting on our front porch. Some old flashing had not been removed and some shingles didn't look right. I called Sambor and asked them to come and inspect the work.Head roofer came out, inspected and said they would fix these things. As of January almost all the issues were still unfixed.Fortunately for us we had not paid them yet. During this time we would occasionally receive calls asking for payment and i would explain that we would pay as soon as the work was finished. Finally in January I was told that Jeff would be at the house with a crew. I met with the crew and I went over all the problems that needed to be fixed. One of the roofers told me the flashing should have been caulked, had not been done, and likely it would all have to be replaced. When i went by the house the next day, nothing had been done.I don’t recall when it was finally completed but one day I drove by the house and saw work had been done. I parked and went to inspect the house and was utterly aghast at the state of things. Thick black caulking had been applied in a very sloppy manner all over the place. (See photos). At this point we decided we were done with Sambor and contacted another roofer a friend had used. As it turned out, he also happened to do inspections for insurance companies. We agreed he would do an inspection and also provide an estimate to repair any issues. Suprisingly he found that the roof was adequate from a functional standpoint if not acceptable cosmetically. He did, however, find some damaged shingles and a few other issues, which he said would cost about $350 for him to repair. He advised that we not attempt to withhold any payment. We paid them the full amount. We did, however, also include the report with photos of all the issues, and the quote for repairs. The reply we received was simply instructions for submitting full payment. From the inspection report:1. A torn shingle was found leaving a small area for possible water penetration where the porch roof meets the East main slope. (requires remediation)2. Sloppy caulking work, and gaps in caulking (not a leak concern)3. More caulking smudged on the siding4. “Tuck” shingle missing under valley (West main slope) Possible water entry point down the line5. a. NO STEP FLASHING or caulking along fascia / roof slope intersection (West slope)b. Fascia is bent presumably during demolition phase6. Looks like caulking was wiped on siding7. Shingle scratches on siding, and caulking applied with finger wiping8. Side window roof both (East and West) sides of building top row is missing and top wall’ flashing is tucked under instead of on top of shingles. (Requires repair; potential leaking spot)9. Lots of caulking smudged on siding10. Further messy caulking work11. Downspouts were not re-connected after install.12. Chimney flashings and main ridge inspected visually OK13. Rear west of house (main slope) flashings installed correctly, no caulking used as it was technically unnecessary due to step flashings already water-proofing slope at wall. After inspecting the Roof my recommendations are as follows:1. Replace section of torn shingle4. Add tuck shingle5. a. Seal gap with CLEAR exterior caulkingb. Bend fascia back if possible and seal with CLEAR caulking8. Add top row of shingles and place flashings over top appropriately11. Reconnect downspouts

i have lived in the same apartment for almost ten years now and haven’t had many problems until shortly after sebastian sambor was named our building manager. at the time of writing, i have been living in illegal lodging for over nine months due to his negligence. i’m writing this to explain why i cannot recommend that anyone use the services of sebastian sambor/sambor roofing/robmas inc.on march 3 2022, the windows in my unit were to be replaced as part of renovations that sebastian was managing. i was told that the work would be done in the span of a few hours. i returned to my unit after his workers has been there and was shocked to find my home in severe disrepair. huge panels of drywall around the windows had been torn out, so i was now living in an apartment with exposed fibreglass insulation hanging out of the walls and little protection from the cold.i have contacted sebastian several times hoping that he would rectify the situation. it is clear now that he has absolutely no intention of doing the right thing.after going above sebastian’s head to my landlord/his boss, i was told that a second round of work would be done. this was almost nine months after the original destruction.while sebastian’s workers did technically show up to their jobs that day, they did shockingly little work before leaving. i asked building management when they would be coming back to complete the work. i was told that the workers were not coming back, that they did exactly the work they were told to do and that if i had any concerns, i would have to take it up with sebastian sambor.i have made further attempts to reach sebastian, but he’s obviously ignoring me.a city councillor arranged for a property standards inspector to tour my unit. the inspector determined that my lodging is illegal as a result of the work that sebastian had ordered. as a result, my landlord has had a bylaw violation notice sent to him with an order to rectify the damage that sebastian’s workers had done.i wish i could say that this is the extent of the stress that this man’s work has caused me. it isn’t. i’ve been disrupted by his workers at very late hours and on weekends. myself and several neighbours have has repeated flat ties because of the broken glass strewn around. there are just endless problems to deal with with this guy and so many reasons to find literally anyone else for the job.

The siding at the back of the house was coming away from the window. They sent a repair man to come and take a look at it. He grabbed his ladder and fixed it right away. So impressed with this company. So many companies didn't call me back after I left a message because it is just a small job but they did. They followed up and showed up today as promised. How refreshing! A company that cares about their reputation. I would highly recommend them and will definitely call them again for gutter repair or roof repair.

Update: this evening the individual who I spoke with earlier showed up and apologized for parking on the garden and brought a gift voucher to cover damages to the garden. All and all a pretty class act. It seems like the owners are pretty responsive to issues in this case.Staff from Sambor Roofing were doing work at my neighbour's house. I looked outside and they had laid down replacement eaves in my garden. When I went outside to ask them to move the eaves, I noticed they had parked their truck/trailer in my garden. When I expressed my concern about them having done this they told me they thought they were just parking on leaves. When I clearly showed them where the curb was and got no response other than a reiteration that my garden looked like leaves, I asked them what they were proposing to do about damaging my gardens. They initially said they were unprepared to do anything. They implied that no damage had taken place. Upon further pressing and pointing out through the snow where they had crushed some specific perennials, they reluctantly agreed to replace the damaged perennials. I'm somewhat suspect that they won't honour this as I felt the driver was really claiming that no damage had been done. This was very frustrating for me and an unfortunate negative interaction to have early in the day. I know I won't be using these guys in the future.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to Paulo, Elaine, Connor, Tyler, Nick and Brandon ....for the excellent job they did on my eavestroughs and downspouts. The company is very professional and the care and attention to detail surpassed the other contractors I have had in the past!A special thanks to Paulo who went beyond the call of duty to do a final inspection upon the completion of the job. He was very meticulous in doing some extra work in patching the stucco area where a screw had to be removed in the old downspout. His artistic ability, the patch was not visible and the stucco wall remained intact. His care for the customer to ensure that the job was done correctly was demonstrated. He is so talented, kind, diplomatic, humble ...he made me feel so happy that I chose the Sambor company! He is a definite asset to the company and a joy to have met him!!!May God continue to bless Paulo and the Sambor staff members!!

I recently had them do some soffit, fascia and eavestroughs work on two accessory structures and they were priced reasonably and they did a great job. We used the previously for roof work and that was also well done
