The Carlisle Retirement Residence

This is a wonderful gem of a home in the heart of Hamilton. A very warm and caring staff who truly have the best interests of the residents heart. It is an exciting place to work right now as we are in the middle of renovations and it is going to be beautiful when complete.I am confident that when you step into our home you will feel the warmth from both staff and residents.

Seniors deserve better in their retirement years. I have visited a family friend newly residing in this home and have heard nothing good about this place. Her room is actually a single room partitioned with a curtain and being charged an unreasonable semi-private rate each month.The food is terrible considering food quality should be top quality considering the hefty private fees residents pay. Each time I check-in with my friend, she has stomach-churning reports about the food being undercooked/overcooked, unhygienic and virtually being tasteless. I will be following up with this home's Mgmt as I can see the oversight here is very poor compared government-regulated long term homes I have experienced.

Absolutely appalling, my Aunt along with all the other residence are being evicted because Wesley Ministries will be moving in. I am aware they own other retirement homes in Hamilton, please check that they are not a part of Lifetimes Living, as you don’t want this to happen to you again.

Horrible, absolutely horrible. The management treats their staff like absolute crap and they are too cheap to pay for more staff on the floor, the poor staff are running around with their heads chopped off. I've seen PSW's working in the kitchen, giving meds and cleaning! Ridiculous! A few times I have come in and management has left early! Ha!

Worse place to work and live. Stay away!

I have visited my father there. He likes it the staff treat him very well. His room is clean and they try to be helpful even though he needs more nursing care they still take care of him.

The front line staff are quite nice and caring. It's unfortunate that the management is so patronizing. The residents are seniors but they are not stupid. The food quality and quantity is not good. It's very frustrating.

Absolutely no complaints...my husband is s well cared for ... unfortunately it's only temporary until we find a permanent place.Wish he could stay permanently ..staff are great

The staff is outstanding, only wish my mother-in-law could have stayed there forever. The 2 months she stayed in transition, never a complaint! They made her feel welcomed from the very first day, never did the staff make her feel like they were being inconvenienced by her need, treated her with dignity.

The staff are warm and friendly! The residents are fabulous to work for. The Carlisle is currently under renovation -painting, new flooring, new furniture. It’s a great time to be a part of such a great home and a great team! Come and check us out in the heart of Hamilton!
