We've used Thorpe Bros several times over the years. They've always had prompt and professional service. At times same day service. Very good at giving legitimate, real advice and not trying to upsell products or services just to make more.

We purchased our house with a 10 year old boiler for in-floor heat that wouldn't fire up. I got a call to try and troubleshoot it myself and when that didn't work they had a technician out right away. Not knowing much about the system I really appreciated that the tech, Matt took his time to explain what he was doing, common issues, things I could do to extend the life, and how the components all worked. He soon found the issue, had it running again, stayed to check other areas and to make sure it would continue running. I was happy to have it working but was also glad to have learnt so much about our equipment and hopefully use the knowledge to prevent further outages. Excellent service. Thank you again!!

*****Update***** April 19, 2018I am about to get an Air Conditioner installed by these folks and part of the reason is they are really great people and, for the most part, Colin is very easy to talk with about your needs. I look forward to my new AC and to them coming out to install it cause I know it will be done right.On another note... Remember the cold snap we had around Christmas? It was like minus 50? My septic tank stopped working and I was scrambling to get help fixing it. I called EVERYONE and no one was able to help. I had to get out there with garden hoses and utility pumps to drain the septic. Imagine having to have a new garden hose and a new utility pump every day just to drain this septic cause it was that cold. I decided to call Thorpe, even though I figured it wasn't something they would do, to see if they could help. Let me tell you... No sooner did I hang up the phone there was someone at my door (keep in mind this was the holiday season and cold as hell!) asking me to show them what the trouble is and what parts do I have to help in fixing it. Turns out that all it was was the cast-iron outlet on the pump blew apart so no liquids were being pumped out. Luckily I had a new temporary pump and some tubing and some connectors/adapters. He brought up the old pump and installed the temporary one. We were back up and running! Unfortunately it was short lived as the hose between the connection to underground and the new hose to the new pump came apart and we were back to manually pumping but my point is... Thorpe was there for me and my family was so happy for the reprieve.*****Update***** September 25, 2017I had contracted Thorpe's Plumbing and Heating to come out to my little homestead on this day to put a new more efficient furnace in . I was, for lack of better words, amazed at how the job was completed. The two that came out, Jesse and Dave, were very professional. They had just the right conversation mixed with a lot of get it done mentality. I didn't feel intruded upon at all. If something was in the way of getting their job done they moved it and when the job was done they put it back. I can't say how impressed I was with the whole job they did. Dave had a very personable way about him - explaining everything in a way you could understand. Jesse was very intuitive about his role there (He's one of Thorpe's latest students of the trade) and followed instruction very well! Apart from who was responsible for playing the country music they both worked great together! Once they were done and gone I went down to see it all and was, again, surprised at how well they did at the clean up. I am pretty sure that it was cleaner down there around the furnace than what it had been before they got there! Perfect job done and can't wait till I can afford to get the Air Conditioner put in. I will get Thorpe's to do this as well! Colin (The boss man) called as a followup a couple of days later to see how the job went which was great to see as well. I bent his ear with all the praise.*****Update***** March 28, 2017Subsequent dealings with the heating and plumbing area of this company have been a lot better. Colin Thorpe was a pleasure to deal with and did acknowledge this review. He genuinely wanted to ensure I was treated professionally. I have since raised this review ranking from 1 star to 4 stars because I feel it's a big step to acknowledge and then take steps to resolve issues relating to customers.*****Initial Review*****Unfortunately I am unable to rate this business based on work done since they never got around to contacting me about the job. I called on two different occasions regarding an installation of a dual fan system into our bathroom and the exhaust of it but no one bothered to call me back. It made me fell that the job just wasn't big enough. If that was the case they should just have told me that. Now I need to consider a new furnace for our new place and just don't know if I should give them a call.

Honestly was floored with how quick of a response I got from these guys. Faucet started leaking yesterday, and in the middle of -40 degree chill, these guys are getting tons of calls and they still got to me the next morning to replace my leaking shower faucet.Matt T. did an amazingly fast job, total new install, looks professional and clean. Highly recommend.

Highly recommend Thorpe Brothers. They installed an Air Conditioning unit and we are very happy. The install guys were friendly and very knowledgeable. Quality product at a good price. In the past they installed a water heater and furnace - very happy with their products and service.

We discovered our hot water tank was leaking. We were able to leave a phone message to Thorpe Bros. after business hours. We got a phone call back the very next morning, and installation that day! I am incredibly disappointed! I have used Thorpe Brothers multiple times over the years. Nearly three months ago I hired them to investigate and fix a leaking shower in the rental property I have. They went within a couple days of when I called but never once called me to tell me they went or what they found. They have not fixed the problem. I have called an left messages 5 different times with no return call. My father has called also with no response. Now, months later, they have sent me a bill in the mail for the original investigation and still no follow up call. The bill simply stated no replacement found! How ridiculous! I hope this is not the standard of business in Saskatchewan now.

*We have since took business elsewhere as we were concerned for our safety *Got work done. Told us our heat exchange has hairline cracks, that could eventually leak carbon monoxide and was told they would get back to us, they never did & neither did they call back anytime we have called over the past 6 months. Save your time and safety Go somewhere else.

This is a one year review on a Furnace, Ac unit, and water heater installation. The guys did an amazing and professional installation of the 3 units. Since I have electrical baseboard heat up stairs, I got the guys to run 3 Ducts up the old chimney which after a year has saved me 40% on my power bill. I had the original furnace 38 years old" still in the house which still was running fine but was loud
