Holiday Inn Express & Suites North Battleford, an IHG Hotel

Traveling to Edmonton from Southern Ontario. Stopped in for the night with my dog, Dumpling. The front staff was very accommodating, and were so good with Dumpling. . The room was awesome. Way better than the last few we stayed in. Was handy to pop over to Walmart to get supplies and the pet store right beside. Sometimes finding a pet friendly place short notice can be hard.This Holiday Inn is Dumpling approved!

Starting off, the low rating is due to two key points.One, this is the third time staying here and finding out the hot tub is not functioning. First time it was scalding hot, confirmed by other guests who attempted it after myself. Second time, ice cold. Third time, not even enough water to cover my knees. I suffer from back and shoulder pains so a hot bath is a necessity each night and I specifically seek out hotels with a hot tub. The room has a shower, no tub.Second, the front desk staff is infuriating. Occasionally you get a girl who gets your through checkout/check-in fairly quick. Otherwise, the gentleman and other woman will ignore you whilst talking amongst themselves in a language you don't understand while you stand holding your bags.Otherwise, the rooms are exceptionally clean and well equipped. I would book elsewhere but I have to admit the rooms themselves are the best in North Battleford. Almost makes it more frustrating that the aforementioned problems take away from that. I'm sure I'll be passing through again at some point but I think next time will be the last if these problems continue. If they improve, I will adjust this review.
