Big Way Hot Pot 大味 (Kingsway）
Build your own hot pot and currently priced at 3.99/100g. Ingredients is fresh and it gets quite busy at prime time. If there is about 30 tables ahead of you, you will be looking about 1.5h wait. Seating is quite small but it's a place where you should just eat, finish, and go.

Big Way Hot Pot 大味 (Kingsway）
This is a simple hot pot place compared to many others in Vancouver. You can pick all kinds of ingredients from wall length shelves, including meat balls, vegetables, soy bean products, and meat. After picking the ingredients and you choose the soup base about 10 different flavors, the cashier will charge you by the weight of the food and give you a number that can stand on your table. The server will bring the cooked pot to your table afterward. There is also a sauce bar for you to add freely. Lastly, the serve will bring an ice cream cone as a dessert. I'm totally happy with my lunch.

The crab wasn't fully cooked and my stomach paid for it the following day!!This is the new store location just a few steps down from the old and just as busy. The appeal is the fresh ingredients and a fun factor in picking them out. Without being able to weigh your bowl, you can easily go overboard. My friend's veggie bowl cost $30.The soup base is decent but not a pleasant dining experience with the tables so tightly packed. Matcha ice cream was icy, not creamy.

Quick and friendly service, decent soup base, wide selection of ingredients, but extremely long wait time.Pretty good malatang spot, especially since there aren't many around the area. No minimum amount of weight needed. They cook the food very quickly.Had the sha cha soup base and it was a tad on the salty side. The bowl still tasted pretty good though.Not bad if you're craving hotpot style food and want to pace yourself.

I love that there are so many option to choose from at this location! Since it’s by weight you have to be mindful of what you’re throwing into your pot. I like the different fish balls and meats they have and the soup selection too! My to go soup bases would be the Malatang and Szechuan Green Pepper Broth. Although there sauce selection isn’t big it’s still really good! I recommend putting together garlic, sugar, soy sauce, vinegar, sesame oil, chili oil, green onions and peanut sauce! Their Signature Milk Tea and their Ice Cream was really good too! (Their lemon ice cream is so so good)!

Exactly the same great food as the Big Way around the corner but much better layout! It's a fun experience getting to hand pick all your favourite ingredients and not having to worry about the preferences of others in your party. You can pick as much or as little as you like of everything and even choose your own broth. The free ice cream at the end is the cherry on top! Just be aware that there can be a long wait on weekends, so make sure to get yourself on their wait-list early.

We decided to return to this establishment due to a decent experience we had during our first visit. However, our second visit left much to be desired. Regrettably, our dish arrived with an assortment of random food items that were not of our choosing ??Additionally, the quality of the soup lacked consistency, as it turned out to be excessively spicy despite our request for a medium level of spiciness. It is clear the chef is trying to speed up the process at the back by cutting corners, but it would be wise for the owner to take notice and address these concerns promptly to prevent any potential loss of business.If you are seeking a clean shabu shabu experience, this isn't the place. Will not be coming back.

I fell in love with hot pot at Big Way Hot Pot the very first time I went there, but they're good for more than just hot pot. They also do some very nice bubble tea drinks. Awhile back there was a BOGO offer for some of the bubble tea drinks on the Fantuan app, so I took advantage of it to order a couple of Sparkling Lychee drinks with Boba poppers for my daughter and I from the newer location of Big Way Hot Pot. This restaurant is just a few steps away from their original location in Burnaby.Sweet, tasty and refreshing. It's a wonderful pick me up" for anyone who's in need of a thirst quencher or... simply in the mood for a yummy drink!Service: GoodParking: Paid parking on the street. Fantastic place. I'm not sure the difference between this one and the one on the corner.. love the selection of fresh ingredients you can choose from. The only annoying thing I found was that some of the ingredients were not labeled, and I had to guess what it was. I usually get the pepper soup and love the numbing! Also, I highly recommend trying the boozy bubble tea, super yummy! Facilities are nice and clean, staff are super friendly, and I definitely recommend checking it out. They do have a digital line that makes it easier, but they are very busy.
