Poolarama

I’m a new pool owner and have dealt with Poolarama for my opening/closing. I had a few issues with my pump this year and Ricci has been so patient & helpful at finding a solution. He’s knowledgeable, thorough & responds quickly. I’m a happy customer! Thank you for the great service. I would recommend Poolarama for any pool services.

i shopped around Ottawa recently for a hot tub and wanted to buy from poolarama because they are walking distance from my home and it’s very convenient. The staff (Derek) was very knowledgeable . After shopping around though I would never buy anything at This store ever. it’s extremely over priced and they’re Moto is , we are so busy and selling so much that we don’t really care if you buy from us because the next person in the door will. I think business has been so good during COVID that they don’t really care if you buy from than as they told me as someone else will. Times have been great for the pool and hot tub industry but we’ll see what happens in the next few years when business’ like poolarama have to start working for they’re business again. I ended up buying from Andre who owns beachcomber hot tubs in Orleans. I was willing to drive 25 minutes from my home instead of walk to poolarama which basically tells you a lot. I wasn’t treated badly at poolarama I just think when your spending a significant amount of money on a hot tub you need to feel good about the experience , poolarama to me feels like your going to a used car store.

Poor servicePoor communicationAsked for a swim ready pool opening and get charged almost $600 to take a tarp off and put some screw caps on a pump.I’ve just been robbed. Don’t bother with these people.

Great place we bought our pool there a few years back and needed a some parts they had them and service was awesome

Friendly staff, but over a month working with poolarama (and many, many $ spent, around 500) didnt solve our pool problems... It took a different pool store a week to diagnose and solve the issue (whose prices were also much more competitive for products), now our pool is perfect.

I've been picking up parts, supplies, and especially sage advice for years. I picked up a vacuum head today that was a better size, more solidly built and even noticably cheaper than comparable online sellers. I biked over, they brought out a few models to compare and I rode away happy. They were nice and knowledgeable.

We were working with Poolarama for about 3 months, had provided a form of payment and selected our new replacement pool liner. They had taken initial measurements right after thaw and were supposed to come back for final measurement before placing the order. They never showed up to our knowledge. We requested status for three weeks with no reply until finally we were informed that they would not be providing a liner because they had come twice and the water was too murky to acquire final measurements and that the mosquitos in the yard were bothersome. They did not inform us that they were coming for measurements or the pool would have been cleaned so they could see the bottom. And mosquitos are plentiful in the spring, go figure. The moral of the story - do not rely on this company to follow through on plans and if they come to visit, provide them with some mosquito repellent lest they run in fear.

Had a leaky PVC pipe on my hottub. I couldn’t find a specific part to connect my tub to my pump anywhere else without waiting a few weeks. I was promised and received the part from Poolarama within a week! Very accommodating to review pictures by email and saved me a trip to the store. Thank you Steve and Ricci!

I made a dumb mistake with my (new to me) pool and ended up blowing some pipes on either side of my pool pump. Called Poolarama and they said they could get someone out in the next day or 2, even with how busy all companies are these days. As they said, Russel was out the next day, and he was amazing. Very friendly, gave great advice and fixed my issue in no time. Extremely happy and impressed with Russel, and the Poolarama team, wouldn't hesitate to go with them again and suggest them to others!

They know their stuff. 1st time pool owner, they walked me through balancing and sold me some really good products that had our pool looking pristine. They also stock replacement parts for older equipment.Thanks for the excellent service
