My fiancé and I hired Dave and his team to not only landscape our entire yard, both front and back, but build us a patio/firepit area. I found him through Facebook and they came right out to quote. Dave and Hazen both came up with ideas that I had not even considered, including burying our downspouts and creating a stone runoff riverbed around the perimeter of the back yard.. When his crew were out working, they were extremely professional and friendly. They even installed a flag pole and cut down a tree for us. When the job was completed, it was so much better then we could have imagined. The patio/firepit area is the highlight and our oasis". I would highly recommend Dave and his team to anyone. Dave and his team at Shore Thing Excavation and Landscaping took our vision of a lawn makeover and knocked it out of the park.The entire yard was excavated extensively to remove all of the old lawn and gardens and then hauled away. Then new top soil was applied for underneath the new sods and garden beds. Landscaping fabric was put under every single area that had a garden or rock bed on top of it and my existing plants were replanted exactly where I wanted them. New steps, a walkway and rock gardens were installed.Dave offered thoughtful and cost effective ideas to improve the design with the use of edging, mulch and different rocks and pavers.Dave and the team of Ernie and Jacob are efficient, friendly, helpful and fun to work with. You would be hard pressed to find more dedicated and hardworking fellows than these guys. They are very respectful of adjoining properties and neighbours and of any request made of them.We are beyond thrilled with the finished product and would highly recommend Shore Thing Excavation and Landscaping. Fantastic experience with David and the team from Shore Thing Landscaping. They removed the old grass and weeds, graded the yard to make maintenance easier, applied new top soil, laid new sod and redesigned the beds for us. It was a lot of work, but I couldn't be happier, and it even came in on budget. The guys who did the work were very friendly, courteous, and professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. We recently built a new home, we hired Shore Thing to do the front and back yard. They did a retaining wall, sod, tree removal, installed a stone patio, walkways and sod. Dave the owner is wonderful to deal with, you get the feeling he is a man of his word after talking with him for 5 mins. He introduced us to Hazen his project manager, he is very skillful and experienced. He made recommendations the whole way and checked with us at every stage of the build. We would 100% use them again and recommend them to our friends.

First made contact in Feb 2022. Sent in requested pictures of work I needed done. Said they would do a site visit in a few weeks. Early August rolled around. They were going to fit me in. Late August came and I was told they were going to stop by Monday to have a look. It's now almost November. I understand the struggles businesses have been facing, but if you don't want the work or can't do the work. Tell people. Don't keep leading them on and or ignoring them. Our property is now set back an entire year waiting for people to show up. I gave these folks a second chance and come and do the work and no one came. A lot of current and future work is lost for these guys. We have big plans and a lot of work to be done, but now we are going with someone else. Thanks anyways.

David, Hazen and Jacob did a FABulous job on my old concrete walkway. It is now a think of beauty!!! They were pleasant and friendly, worked HARD in less than ideal conditions. And they cleaned up afterwards. I am totally thrilled with their work and the results. See Before and After below!!

We chose Shore Thing to repair our yard and sod after an extensive home renovation in the fall of 2020. We had quotes from 4 companies and Shore Thing was very competitive and prompt with their responses. Good communication is important to me with contractors, so this really stood out.We had them back this spring to do a patio. We are thrilled with the results. Everyone was very helpful, especially because this project was completed during covid lockdown and I had to choose materials sight-unseen. Dave helped to source patio stones that were exactly what I wanted. The project stayed on time and on budget.We will certainly be using Shore Thing for any future landscaping projects (probably a retaining wall in 2022!).
