Dynacare Laboratory and Health Services Centre
I was in and out in about 5 mins and the staff were busy but pleasant.There's another review talking about unclean conditions. While the walls are scuffed up and the facility is in a slight state of disrepair, the equipment and tools seemed to be in fine shape.I just needed some blood taken and it was done so promptly and professionally.

I waited a few days and thought over my response to this place before writing this review. Hasn't softened my opinion any. This is simply the worst professional encounter I have ever had. From walking in the door (4 times, since their app kept falsely telling me I was up next) to leaving bruised and frustrated so many things were wrong.The place was dingy and jam packed. The testing room doors were wide open with no attempt at privacy. The few staff stood at open front desk discussing a client's semen sample, none of the staff wore their ID badges. When I was finally taken in, they stated my full name before asking my identity (a big no-no). The phlebotomist didn't properly clean any of the sites he tried, tourniquet applied touching elbow not 2 fingers above, didn't even attempt center used outside vein. Blew straight through, pulling back n sucking exit, getting nothing. Switched arms, no explanation, bruised both draw site and tourniquet sites. I will never use them again, would have left if I didn't require it done that day (for timing on results). I have actively warned family to not use this place. Terrible. Reported.

Very disappointed! My husband (frequent service user for the past 5 years) went into the location yesterday, and the rudeness of the staff was beyond the belief. As the location is by appointment only (not advertised as such, no posting on the door either), there were no patients inside or outside the office. When asking for accommodating and scheduling an appointment, my husband was asked to leave the property and not ask questions. There were only two female employees at the location, both at the front desk, concentrating on how to intimidate my husband. Very rude. Given that my husband has left his phone at home, and had no way to walk out to the parking lot and schedule an appointment, he had to leave without getting the service (which alone could be tolerated, but the way he was treated, can not). The way his questions and request were approached is definitely not the way to treat customers.As for the cleanliness of the location mentioned in other reviews, it was a frequent experience for my husbands blood sample collection that the practitioner did not wear the protective gloves. The blood sample was taken with the bare hands. This alone is concerning.I have called Dynacare Customer Service with complaint. A very nice girl answered the phone, she has recorded my complaint, and apologized for the situation. I felt bad for her, as she was put in a position to apologize for someone else's behavior. She herself was very nice. I have asked for, and was assured, that my complaint will be forwarded to the manager, and he/she will call me back. I have not received a call back yet.The deterioration of the customer service is recent. Until about a year ago, it used to be a very nice place to get your tests done.My husband and I will be advising everyone not to use the Highbury location to avoid bad treatment and aggressive behavior. If you expect nice and professional treatment, go somewhere else.UPDATE: This is an update and follow up on the incident. The complain has been handled professionally. We have received a phone call from the location manager as per our expectation. We had an opportunity to provide more details of the occurrence. My husband and I would like to believe that his experience was an isolated situation. We hope that our future visits will be met with high level of customer service as we are used to have from our visits before.

Very frustrating I just went to this location 10 mins ago and was informed that as of last week they have implemented a rule that it's by appointment only. It would have been helpful if this change has been posted in the website to avoid wasting time. I also tried calling the hotline prior to going however it just keeps on ringing.

I frequent this location often and I'm always amazed by how rude the receptionist is. She doesn't speak or acknowledge you. She won't even answer questions. The one time she did speak was to tell me infront of a room full of people they were too busy and couldn't accommodate me before closing in 40 minutes. I was the only one needing a urine test while everyone waited for a blood test. I could have been out before everyone else. Instead I was forced to go across the city and find a different lab willing to accommodate me. The hours are terrible, the staff are terrible and the lab itself is dirty. There is no privacy. When you have your blood test the doors are wide open for everyone in the waiting room to watch.

I cannot rate this location any lower or I would. They made me wait outside for over an hour while taking other patients, without appointments, before me. Once inside I was told to wait and that the wait would be another 30 min. They continue to take other patients first. The inefficient service I received is unacceptable in any type of work, let alone THE MEDICAL FIELD. This is truly ridiculous. I don't understand how people keep their jobs. I was there for over an hour and a half for 2 second of blood work

Good service even during this pandemic time.I have been here three times now for blood work and all times the service was fast and efficient. This location accepted me as a walk-in two times, but one time there was a small line up in the early morning. The second time I went in I was able to check the waiting time and check in online. I have been amazed by their service and their attitude towards patients always feel positive. They have limited space inside but doing everything well as per the rules. Lots of parking spots available in that area.I've had a good experience with Dynacare atthis location.

Dynacare Laboratory and Health Services Centre
The team especially Marie is really nice there. I went there with my mom a few days ago. it was cold outside and they did everything what they could to keep people comfortable. They took peoples phone #s and told them to wait in cars and they called when it was their turn. Mom mom didn't feel well and Marie gave her her own can of water. Thank you so much Marie and the entire team. You really make people feel comfortable there. I just wish the place is opened a whole year around.
