The Haliburton Post House

I had an absolutely amazing weekend as a wedding guest at the Post House. Heather and Joel made sure our stay was comfortable and relaxing.Our room was clean and the facilities are amazing! They have a bunch of lawn games, kayaks/canoes. An incredible gym and even a sauna.The food though was the most impressive part. Every meal was insanely good. Quality you would not expect from a cottage up in Haliburton. Chef Dan and his wife Amber created the most amazing menu ranging from Carrot-cake-bread french toast for breakfast to beef short rib wellington, to a melt in your mouth foie gras. He also makes his own bread and croissants (possibly the best croissants in Ontario!?)I have absolutely nothing bad to say about my stay here. I only wish it were longer. I am strongly considering making this an annual/biannual vacation weekend with a bunch of friends and splitting the cost. Even a month later I'm still wishing I was back there. Truly an amazing time.

I ordered four meals for a girls' weekend up north and I would give Haliburton Post House 6 stars if I could! The entire process, from online ordering to pickup, was seamless. The food was delicious, high-quality, and very creative. We thoroughly enjoyed the fresh bread and thick, creamy butter to start. The portions were VERY generous - we hardly had room for dessert!Dan was very accommodating of allergies and was lovely to speak with in person and on the phone. I look forward to the next time I can enjoy his amazing cooking!

I attended a friend’s wedding at the Post House this summer and it was absolutely amazing. Everything about the food, location and ambiance exceeded all expectations. The staff were so lovely and welcoming. I’m still dreaming of the gorgeous meals we had and beautiful location. Honestly, I am looking for reasons to go back because it was that enjoyable.

I've ordered there Gourmet to Go- Meal kits and there are amazing. Great attention to detail-there sauces are very well done and instructions are very clear.Rivals some of the best meal to go experiences i have done- but it is on the pricier side. Highly recommended for special occasions!

We have done the gourmet to go meals three times now and they are sensational. The unique flavours, presentation even the take away containers, is incredible. Heating instructions are easy to follow. This is as good as any high end Toronto restaurant. And 2 out of the 3 times they added something extra that was not part of the order - fresh churros, Jamaican patties for breakfast. It is so good I drive almost an hour to get their meals!

Ordered a family style meal for 12 people from the gourmet dinner menu for a bachelorette party weekend and it was perfect!Ordering was easy, picking up was seamless, and the food was delicious, everybody loved it.100% recommended and will definitely order again when wanting a gourmet experience in Haliburton.

We had our annual executive planning meetings here this month (OCT 2022) and it was fantastic! The service was excellent and attentive but not bothersome - every need met and more. We were all made to feel so welcome. The accommodations are beautiful, clean and comfortable. The location is a little out of the way but in the end it was worth the drive--so scenic. Saving the best for last was the food - I've NEVER eaten so well! Delicious, beautifully served, perfectly cooked, perfectly seasoned - I do not have a single complaint or even suggestion regarding the food. I agree with a previous reviewer - would give 6 stars if I could. The Post House just elevated what it means to get 5 stars.

I attended the June 3rd Gourmet Meal collaboration between Haliburton Post House, Ommmh and EAT. It was one of the finest dining experiences of my life and a complete steal.

My boyfriend and I stayed at the Post House over September Labour Day weekend 2021. We had a delightful time. The cottages are elegant, spacious and cozy. The chefs and food were fabulous. The grounds were stunning. The swimming dock and paddle boards were a ton of fun to use and explore the lake. 10/10 experience. Would absolutely come again.
