Pine Valley Park
We stayed at Pine Valley Park for almost a week in October. It is a huge campground, and the layout is very nice! The owners are kind and definitely do well with planning activities for their guests. This campground features a pool, showers, laundry facilities, a very cool playground, a chip truck, rec hall, bathroom house and a small store.I have to give Pine Valley Park 3 stars because although it's a beautiful campground, a few things drove me crazy. For one, some of the seasonal guests are super ignorant. We did meet some very nice people, but there definitely were the odd few that were downright unfriendly.Secondly, 250 registered children in the park is perfect for the little ones but honestly, the children there had absolutely zero supervision, none. I was the only parent in the playground area listening to countless children swearing and misusing the playground the whole time. I have a two year old who couldn't even use the slide because there were about 7 children sitting on it. Then when she did get a chance, about 2 or 3 kids started running up the slide when she was coming down. She was almost knocked over numerous times by kids playing tag on the equipment, and she was actually stomped on by a girl coming off of a part of the playground backwards, without looking, even as I was yelling at her to look out. She came right down on my toddlers head. I totally understand kids will be kids and they play roughly. I just don't understand why I was the only parent there when there were about 20 children playing. There was no point in even telling the owners because they were both busy with bingo and giving rides around the park. When we went back to our site later that night, there was a fight about 2 doors down. Being in an RV, you can hear the swearing and drunk bantering as if they were in the room with you. Also not so family-friendly.Lastly, there is only one washing machine and dryer for a massive campground. However, on the upside, the laundry room is well stocked with books and games, even movies.Overall, it's a beautiful campground. It reminded me of something you would see in a movie. The owners are nice and helpful, just very, very busy so it lacks management in some areas. It's very clean for such a big park, however there is tons of litter scattered around (mainly in the playground) and overflowing garbage cans, which comes with being as busy as they are. I honestly believe if there were a few more people managing Pine Valley Park, it would be a beautiful, family-friendly campground where everyone is happy- not just the seasonals drinking at their sites, completely clueless to where there children are or what they're doing.I would come back because my daughter did love it despite being trampled, knocked around and excluded at the playground. And the owners have created an adorable campground. I just wish there was a little more staff, and less careless and irresponsible guests.

Started camping here last year and I have nothing bad to say at all. Perfect spot for kids with lots of fun activities including my favorite the petting zoo.The staff have been helpfull and pleasant and I find rates and fees to be very fair.I am glad I made this park my seasonal spot and I look forward to many years of camping as this is now my home away from home! And thank you to all the staff that put on all the fun events!Cheers!Philip Rassweiler

New to the park this season. Everyone is really nice. Great neighbour's, very helpful. My dogs have adjusted well. We get new neighbour's to meet every weekend, because we are beside the camping area on one side. My dream came true, finally have a trailer to enjoy through the season. Thanks to the love of my life for the wonderful birthday gift.

We stayed here for 5 nights with our motorhome. Our 4yo daughter had a great time and loved the animals in the petting zoo, the jumping pillow and the playground(s). It is a nice park with a lot of seasonal visitors. We had the bad luck of a lot of mosquitos at dusk and dawn, the first night you couldn't even go to the washroom without being 'attacked' by 10-20 of them. There was also an overnight washroom, but this wasn't more than a shed with a toilet. The RV sites were levelled and well maintained, although there was some rubbish lying around here and there. The owners were really friendly and helped us out when we weren't able to boil water. There were a couple of things that need attention: the washrooms and laundry (just 1 washer and 1 dryer) are outdated. The playgrounds are fun for the kids, but need updating or repairs. Especially the toddlers playground, because the soil is just rock or hard sand. Nothing to break a childs fall.Just to be aware: there is only grey water sewer, which wasn't a great issue for us. The garbage collection bins were filled over the max, which didn’t look nice and attracts pests (and looks very weird, having camped in BC were they are very strict in garbage collection). One last thing that needs updating on the website: please mention the pool opens Mid-June, as it says just June in the faqs. This influenced our decision for this campground, as we hoped to take a dip in the pool during 30 degrees Celcius weather. We enjoyed our time at the campsite and our 4yo had fun, but we probably won't return here.
