Dr. Niessen is a wonderful doctor. He is very skilled at what he does, I was worried about having a big scar from the procedure I needed to have done, however he did an excellent job and it is barely noticeable. I also felt that he actually cares about your concerns as a patient. His front staff was also very nice.

I found Dr. Niessen to be very kind and caring. He was always very pleasant as was his staff. I saw him for skin cancer and he wasted no time making a treatment plan referring me to cancer clinic. Would definitely see him again for any issues that I may have in the future

My 93 year old grandmother went to visit Dr. Niessen after being referred for a slight, thin skin tag on her upper left lip. Although it is only cosmetic, it is within your main field of view on her face, and is approximately 1.5mmx .4mm. It is very apparent when you look at her. Once she showed him what she was there for, he said, You won't die from it." He then dismissed her concern and didn't even discuss removal as HE felt it was "nothing". She went here for help to remove it

My experience was much the same as others below. Terrible scarring a cyst and a trapped tendon from carpal tunnel surgery. (Went in to fix one nerve, left with issues in 2) He performed this surgery in office, it was the first surgery I’ve ever had as well as the first time dealing with stitches. I didn’t know what to expect in terms of healing, but each post op visit was him convincing me about how “normal” it was all going, when I hadn’t even given indication that I needed convincing…I cancelled the 4th post op visit bc what was the point? (I don’t know ANYONE who saw their dr more than ONCE post op) It’s been a year and a half and I’m still dealing with the complications, and even worse, no one in Windsor wanted to go near this revision. Currently (FINALLY) awaiting an appt with a specialist in london. As for the surgery itself, it was an absolute nightmare! The constant burning caused by the “local” from the time he administered it, through the whole surgery, the pressure and the scraping that I could feel, as well as a very painful snap in the fleshy area of my thumb. It was very traumatizing, especially for a first surgery. The first 3 days I would wake from naps in a cold sweat having flashbacks of the procedure. The occupational therapist I went to afterwards was mortified for me! He was aghast at how large the incision was, and couldn’t believe it had just been wrapped in gauze with nothing to support the wrist. It was easy to see Dr N has a reputation in that field. He’s lucky my OT kept a professional tongue, though you could tell he was having to bite it. 0/10 do not recommend.

Highly skilled surgeon, thorough to explain results, plan, and what to expect, very kind and reassuring and humorous which keeps you calm. I have had several basal cells from forehead removed. I am very thankful for his medical services.

DO NOT GO TO HIM. I had some surgery with him and afterwards I could no longer feel in that area. To this day, I have no sensation. He does not know what he's doing at all. There is scarring and it is unsightly. He did half the job too. Really not an expert.

I had breast augmentation by Dr. Niessen in 2005, and they still look fabulous! Being from the US, I was a bit nervous that I would have no recourse if something went wrong with a surgery in Canada, however, I had nothing to worry about. The surgery went great, the follow-up care was on spot. He took great care with me, and struck me as very meticuIous. I am now 54 and thinking about a tummy tuck, so Dr. Niessen is the first person I will consider.

Be aware do not go to Dr. Niessen. He will chop you up, and rip you off. My daughter and I both seen him on February 20, 2018. My daughter got a Tummy tuck, And Liposuction done. I got a tummy tuck, liposuction, and breast implants done. This was our worst mistake allowing Dr. NIessen to perform our surgeries. My daughters stomach is completely botched and looks like he took a saw to my daughters stomach and started sawing away. My daughter was supposed to get Liposuction done, but in fact it does not even look like there’s any liposuction done at all. My tummy tuck is very botched and completely split open. My incision started splitting immediately after my surgery. Dr. Niessens reports states that I started splitting at my first postop appointment. I went from 5 cm to 16 cm split open. My liposuction does not even look like it was performed at all either. My breast implants are horrible looking, and very lopsided. Dr. Nissan lied about the size of implants that would fit with my frame and refuse to make them even, and definitely did not do a breast left as required. Since Dr. Niessen had a bandit all his patients, my daughter and I had to fend for ourselves and find our own after care. My daughter became infected twice, and I became infected three times. Because he completely botched my daughter and I, we had to reached out to another plastic surgeon, and we are potentially looking at skin grafting done on both of us, But hoping we can just get away with getting scar revision done. I have also paid our new plastic surgeon to fix my breast implants. I have brought all this to Dr.niessens Secretaries attention, which relayed the message to Dr. Niessens wife. We requested a full refund because we have to pay now out of our own pocket to have Dr. Neissens work fixed. Dr. Niessen refuses to refund us our money. My daughter and I both filed a complaint against Dr. Niessen, And will be contacting a lawyer regarding this situation. In my opinion, dr. Neissen is the backyard plastic surgeon that does not care about his patients, but only cares about ripping his patients off.
