Raising Rover

We took the reactivity reset course with Caroline for our pup Joon. The lessons provided a structure in our training that we didn't realize was missing. Also, it was reassuring to work with Caroline who empathized with us & provided guidance forunderstanding Joon's behavioral nuances. Overall the course equipped us with better understanding of our dog's reactivity & taught us how to navigate it, without feeling defeated or overwhelmed.

We had such a great experience with Caroline! She's encouraging, fun, and breaks things down into manageable steps. Her training style makes it feel like a game that's enjoyable for both my wacky adolescent dog and me! We saw progress after the very first session and have lots of tools and strategies to keep us going. I'll definitely be returning to Caroline in the future and can't recommend her gentle, positive training style enough.

She worked with our family and new Labrador puppy this spring helping us prepare for the arrival of our puppy and for the last 2 months has worked with us on dog training. She also provided lesson plans / detailed weekly training notes and videos that were incredibly useful as we adjusted to life with a new puppy and progressed through stages of dog training. Thank you Caroline, it was an excellent program with great information and strategies to decrease my dogs reactivity.I now have the freedom to enjoy walks with him and not be stressed or fearful of his reaction to other dogs we encounter.The group sessions were very informative to learn about other peoples experiences and to see I am not alone. Five stars are not really enough to represent how extraordinarily effective Caroline is as a trainer and supporter of struggling dog parents. I had a different, far less knowledgeable and engaged trainer when my now 3 year-old doodle first came to me as a puppy, so I appreciate just how excellent Raising Rover services are. We;'ve had many private lessons with Caroline and I also took her online group course called Reactivity Reset"; both were invaluable. Another great puppy session! We first met Caroline 10 years ago when our first dog joined our family and given our success with her then, we didn’t hesitate to reach out when our new puppy arrived in April. Once again, her expertise and depth of knowledge was so incredibly helpful. The virtual class was actually even more engaging than the in-person session years ago. Less distractions for our puppy and the entire family could join. Would highly recommend!!

We have been clients of Caroline’s since we first got our puppy. He is now 1.5 years old and we have taken her puppy, teen, and reactivity courses and they have helped shape our dog into the wonderful family member that he is today. Caroline’s courses are incredibly informative and helpful. She explains concepts in an easy-to-understand manner, and she provides one-on-one support as part of each course to enhance and strengthen learning. If one method isn’t going well, she is always ready with a host of alternative options because she recognizes that there is no one-size-fits-all method for all pups and people. We feel very lucky to have her in our lives and look forward to learning more from her in the future!
