UWork is a great company and supportive of workers. They got me work really quickly and I would recommend them. If there are opportunities that are available through them in your region definitely consider them as a recruiter if you have construction industry skills. Saba, who recruited me, was great to work with also.

I have worked with UWork since last December (2021) and it has been a wonderful experience thus far. I initially connected with M, and she has been prompt, professional, and very supportive from the beginning. I phoned this company last winter after quitting my job; I wanted some quick work bc I am preparing to do more graduate studies and wanted something flexible in nature. M was extremely understanding and accommodating. I was sent WHMIS info as well as the Safety, etc, to complete; I also had an interview. From the time that the aforementioned were performed, to my first job (two or so weeks later), the process was seamless. To date, I have enjoyed my communication with M, and the mutual respect displayed in our working relationship; she has also displayed social awareness and an understanding of the need for cultural diversity within the company - which was important to me as a fellow Canadian. I would recommend this company. Word to the wise, this company does NOT provide direct deposit, which was surprising, thus, it is important to plan accordingly and to make needs known, which they are very good at trying to accommodate. Contact them if you're a tradesperson, or seeking gen labour; they usually have weekly options!!!! Also, the application process is not laborious and pretentious; just straight to the point and user-friendly. I am giving this company a 4/5 because the 4.5 option is not available; having direct deposit would really make this whole experience a 5 for me.Best:)
