Calgary STI Clinic

This place needs a better system for appts. Came in and told there was a 1.5 hour wait, after calling and told you couldn’t book an appt. Returned after placing my name on the waiting list and then told it would be another 2.5 hours. Second time a few weeks later, first on the list on a Monday morning as they only book appts the day of and was still 4th in line, as some had booked appts. Confused???? Do you take appts over the phone or not. Been given so many different answers. The staff are lovely, and I’m sure that Covid has impacted every aspect of the daily operations everywhere, but people work and can’t take 4-5 hours off to wait to see a nurse. Solution is required immediately.

Staff was extremely rude and closing time should reflect when closing actually happens.

Searching this clinic up on google maps or on google itself says closing time 4:45 So please YOU GUYS should really change your closing time to 4:15pm if you can't take anymore patience after that time. I drove so far out. PLEASE CHANGE YOUR TIME, PEOPLE EXPERIENCE SYMPTOMS AND WASTED GAS JUST CHANGE IT TO THE TIME YOU CAN'T TAKE ANYMORE PATIENTS IN!!Clearly the clinic does not close at 4:45 SMH. They close at 4:15.

I had a great experience here I don't remember who my nurse was but she was great and so patient with me and explained things well. I got there at 845am for a walk in and got in a room by 930am as there are people with booked appts which is understandable. Would come again but I hope I won't have to LOL

Extremely disappointing that you can no longer book appointments. If anything there should have been a hybred system of appointments and walk-ins for those who forgot their appointments or other available time. For a city this size having to sit and wait 3 hours for STI testing is shameful

I've been coming to this clinic for ages and every nurse here has treated me with respect and never once did I feel judged even though I know I'm in the wrong. They never talk down to me, made me feel unwelcome and it certainly feels like a safe space to get the screening or treatment I need. Just be honest with them and they will help you as much as they can. Places like this are very hard to come by and it's a very much needed public health service that deserves funding and support.

Staff is amazing! But horrible wait times, I waited 3.5 hrs to get a 3 min blood test. For city this size we need more STI clinics. This place definitely needs more funding!! It’s shameful ppl have to wait so long for a simple STI test.

Went for my STI test routine on October 20, nurse doing the swap test is definitely not to be recommended. I would suggest that man do there own swap test it need to be done, instead of having to deal with bleeding and pain form a none experience nurse on doing it properly.

Nursing staff is great, but I have had to call at least 6 times to try to get my results. I had taken some medication at the time of my appointment and I wanted to follow up with them to see if that medication was needed or not. Still have not gotten any results back. Reception is dismissive and kept referring me to the nurses line. No one picked up at the other end every time that I called. It’s extremely frustrating and is driving my anxiety to the brink. I just want to know my results and no one has contacted me at the time they said they would. If a clinic tells you a timeframe in which they will call you, they should stick to that timeframe.
