They offer a wide variety of products, some of which they purport to be 'Halal'. However, upon closer examination and inquiring about their Halal certification process, it became glaringly clear that there were gaping holes in their understanding and implementation of the same.Of paramount concern was the fact that their meat products were not explicitly labeled as Halal. This raises serious questions about the veracity of their claims and their commitment to their Muslim clientele who rely on strict Halal standards for their dietary needs. My efforts to gain clarity about their meat repackaging practices were met with ambiguity and evasion. As a practicing Muslim, it is crucial that Halal meat is not repackaged in the vicinity of non-Halal or Haram products, including pork. The representative's inability to provide clear and accurate information on this crucial matter was deeply troubling.In addition to these issues, trying to communicate with East Angus Grocery was a significant challenge. It was exceedingly difficult to get a hold of a representative when needed. This lack of accessible customer service further amplifies the feeling of disconnect and disregard for the customers' needs.Despite glowing online reviews for East Angus Grocery, my personal experience contrasts sharply with these. It calls into question their credibility and whether they truly reflect the company's standard of service.In conclusion, East Angus Grocery has shown a disturbing lack of transparency, knowledge, and respect towards their customers' religious dietary restrictions, and a notable deficit in customer service. As customers, we trust businesses to understand and respect our dietary requirements, particularly when it involves religious considerations.
