Allcraft Mechanical

We have been having our wave-runner serviced and stored with Chris at Allcraft for the past 7 years. No issues. This year we ran into some mechanical difficulties the first weekend we used the waverunner after getting it out of storage. Chris has always made himself available outside of business hours which gives us some piece of mind if we have any questions or concerns. He will troubleshoot over the phone to try and get you up and running. When bringing in for service, his turnaround time is very short. He understands the urgency we all have with getting our machines up and running again due to our short summers. In our case, he had our machine back up and running on the water within three days. We really appreciate the personalized service, definitely don’t feel like a number in line.

I called Chris as I was heading to the lake to pull the boat out and asked him if I could drop it off later that day (6 hrs later). I arrived after closing So thank you Chris for waiting the extra 30-40 minutes for me after closing time. Very much appreciated. I need a good place to do all my restoration work in the off-season and I think I found my place! Excited about our upcoming feb appointment to get the work done and have the boat looking shiny new for the spring!

Chris was amazing. He went through my boat with a fine tooth comb to make sure all problems were fixed. And was always in touch with me so I knew what was happening. My boat has ran this good since I have owned it. Thank you chris I will be a client for a long time

I would of given 0 if possible but 1 star is the lowest. Got quoted for service on my outboard motor for $1500. Was very difficult to get ahold of and ended up having my motor for 2 months and didn’t fix it! I said no way to his ridiculous quote and took it elsewhere where it was fixed for under $200. The mechanic lied to me saying my motor had no spark and needed new electrical which was blatantly wrong. When I picked up my motor it was given to me in pieces with my carb disassembled in a zip lock bag. Also didn’t give me my spark plugs back. Would highly recommend taking your motors elsewhere. Very unprofessional and insulting service

Chris at Allcraft Mechanical is amazing. I give him 10+ stars. The most honest guy on the planet. We had a terrible experience with the purchase of a Kijiji boat and Chris has gone about 200 extra miles to help us get on the water. I can not express my gratitude to Chris more, and would highly recommend him and his shop to all boat owners in Winnipeg and surrounding area. If you are in the market for a boat or need it worked on, winterized and or stored, call Chris!!!

As a first time boat owner, I was cautious as to who to trust with any repairs to my boat. I quickly felt a level of trust with Chris and he proved himself in how he treated me and followed through on his commitment to make me happy as a customer. His price was fair and the work done in a timely manner. Any issues were solved quickly and with no added expense to me. I will continue to be a client long into the future.

I purchased a used boat this summer, and planned preventative maintenance with a gear oil change and water pump change. This was in mid-July, when everyone (including this business) was busy and backed up. Chris fit us in for this quick maintenance, knowing we needed the boat in a week for our vacation.Unfortunately it needed a lot more work despite running fine on inspection. Chris made sure he could get all the parts and work done in time, and we picked it up right before our vacation on LOTW. It was running perfectly out of the water at the shop (which I now know can't really tell you everything about how it is running).Once we got it in the water, it wouldn't go much past idle. Everything electrical had been done to the engine and we couldn't figure out what was still wrong. This was the weekend, and I was able to contact Chris about this disappointing turn. He helped as much as he could over the phone, then asked us to bring it back to the shop that day (Sunday) and he went to look at it that evening (he was on holiday for the weekend).The next day he figured out what it was, a bad stator that had already been replaced new (the new part was faulty, through no fault of the shop or Chris).To ensure we in fact had a functioning boat on Monday morning, Chris went the above and beyond by taking the boat to a launch on the river and testing it out fully. After that, we had a flawless boat for our vacation.I cannot thank Chris enough for taking personal time to make sure our boat was ready. It was some unfortunate turns, and he went way beyond what anyone would expect to make sure our vacation wasn't ruined.Needless to say, I will return and I highly recommend Allcraft - honest, professional and caring. Thank you Chris!

If your looking for a marine mechanic make this your first stop. I obtained an older boat with a few major problems so I took it to Chris at Allcraft. He gave me s VERY fair quote and stuck with it. He went above and beyond more than once to make sure things were done correctly and I was satisfied. You can tell he takes pride in what he does and cares about his customers and business more than making a profit. If your looking for someone knowledgeable and professional who you can trust to get the job done right and stand by their work I don't think your going to find anywhere better than Allcraft Mechanical. They also did my flooring and seats on top of all the mechanical work and everything looks great! I would recommend Allcraft Mechanical to everyone, I will absolutely be a returning customer.
