Primal Performance Coaching
John from Primal has been training me for the last 5 months and I'm very happy with the progress. Before Primal, I was very inconsistent and I kept hitting plateaus. John was able to provide a solid program that addressed my weaknesses. He is very knowledgeable and the advice he provides makes a big difference. I have been participating in the strength training classes with John and now Emily for two months and it has been amazing. The entire coaching staff are very knowledgeable, and very attentive. I have been seeing improvements with my lifting and with my nutrition. Primal Performance Coaching
I have trained with Primal for a period of approximately 9 months in a 1 on 1 capacity, looking to try something new. I've worked with various coaches during the time including Chelsea, Ethan and most recently Stephen. I've learned alot during my time with Primal including programming and technique, and have made some great progress during the duration of my training. I really enjoyed training with Stephen, as he was able to tailor training to meet all of my goals, including improving general fitness for policing aspirations, while continuing to get stronger and improve body composition. Stephen was very accommodating of my working schedule which involved constant shift work rotations, however we were still able to make our sessions. Primal offers a tailored approach to your goals, even outside strength training, and will work with you to achieve them. Shoutout to John, Stephen and the Primal team, and I will definitely be returning at some point in the future.- Nayan

Been working with primal for 6 months and can tangibly see change in all my lifts. Johns an incredible coach that really morphs to what you need as a client whether that’s powerlifting or overall health and well-being. I definitely don’t feel like just another client on his roster as he really does tailor your programming to you. So grateful for all the physical and mental changes that primal has made in my life. If you’re hesitant about coaching trust me, stop spinning your wheels and do it. You won’t regret it :)

John has been training me for over 5 years and he is the best! He has made me so much stronger and has given me the confidence I needed in the gym. I have had tendinitis in my shoulder for years and when it flares he adjusts my program to focus on building strength and mobility in my shoulder. Not to mention the primal team is so nice and supportive! (Shout out to Chelsea and Stephen) I’ll definitely be training with the team for years to come!

John has been nothing short of a fantastic coach since i met him many years ago. He is continuously practicing for himself what he preaches to others, and is on an endless pursuit of being a better trainer and coach by staying up to date with the ever-changing strength and conditioning science.John and other members of his team have collaborated with us on the rehabilitation of dozens of individuals and they are always able to successfully integrate the recommended rehabilitative concepts in to their program, then seamlessly transitioning them into training phases of their plan. This sort of combined knowledge, experience, and creativity is not common. Keep up the excellent work, John.

Primal Performance Coaching
I started with Primal Performance Coaching back in March of this year. I had just lost a ton of weight and needed help with redefining my body comp and strength. I was paired for 1on1 personal training with Coach Stephen and since then have not looked back. Over the course of the last few months my strength gains and confidence in the gym has been built up. Working with Stephen is always challenging but not to the point you will feel like a failure or that things are cookie-cutter easy. My plans change monthly and each exercise has been thought out based on overall goals and strengthening identified weaker areas. I have had some previous injuries and all of these are taken into account on the plans and types of exercises. Almost a year later I am never questioning whether I would hit the gym or not on my days - as each session is rewarding, worthwhile and fun. I am now working towards my first Powerlifting meet in January and know my confidence would never have been there without Stephen and the team at Primal Performance Coaching. These guys as well as other members don't judge anyone and everyone is part of a community at Forge Gym.

Top tier coaching and programming. Ethan, John, and all the other staff are professional, helpful, and high level athletes. My coach (Ethan) has been very prompt getting me my programming and getting back to me with helpful advice for any questions I have. In the 6 months I've been with them I've noticed definite increases in strength due to their coaching and I can't wait to test some new one rep maxes.

I've been with Primal Performance Coaching for a year now and their coaches are unmatched! The entire team is incredibly supportive and have given me so much confidence and support while training for, during, and after my meets. They will all do whatever they can to ensure you are getting the support you need, and they have your best interest at heart. They are all incredibly knowledgeable, communicate effectively, and I've seen amazing results from the programming - some of my lifts (specifically deadlifts <3) have increased 130 lbs (and counting) with the help of Ethan and John. My program is tailored to my needs and they always have my goals in mind, but they also think beyond those goals and always remind me that I'm capable of more than I think when I doubt myself. Without Primal, I wouldn't have gotten to where I am today and I'm so excited and proud to compete at CPU Nationals in Vancouver in a couple weeks repping the Primal t-shirt on the platform! I would highly recommend the Primal Performance team to anyone in need of any sort of coaching or training to reach their fitness goals, the entire team is amazing :)
