I could not be more disappointed in the service I received from Maritime Travel. My mom and I went in to look into destination weddings. At this point I had about a year and a half to get the ball rolling. We spent about 2 hours there and the agent LeAnn seemed very knowledgeable and friendly. We agreed to work with her on the wedding planning but we didn't know what we were getting into.The whole time that I was her client I felt under-valued and constantly brushed aside. She said that she would get back to us within 3-4 weeks or so prior to the first visit which we were fine with. I never received any updates from her and when it hit about 6-7 weeks later I had to reach out to her myself to see what progress was being made. The whole time I was to be the one to contact her first except for one time but that e-mail was just as frustrating as it contained no information, just excuses. I was her client for about 6 months and in that 6 month period nothing happened and I was in contact with her maybe 3 or 4 times. I asked her in several e-mails about a website that the company offers to set up with the wedding package so that we didn't have to worry about it and guests could log in for updates. I had hoped to get my invitations out by January and I wanted to include the link in the invites. This question was blatantly ignored as if it was never asked. I confided in my mom saying that I was beyond frustrated with the whole situation and I know she tried at least once to ask the same question and she too, never received an answer. When I hit February I started to panic because a year in advance for a destination wedding just wasn't that much time. Because no progress was being made at Maritime we moved on to another company. I sent one last e-mail informing LeAnn that we were moving on and I was disappointed in the care I received as a client. I also told her that I would be leaving this review. Funny how motivating something like that can be because within the hour I had quotes from every airline that she was looking into and received a total of 5 emails within a few hours which is more than we talked the entire six months I was her client. It was extremely disappointing to me that it had to come to something like that to provoke any action from her. Obviously it didn't take long to do as I had those quotes within the hour, but she essentially just wasted 6 months of my time. When we went to the other agency I left on the first visit with more information and progress than I had the entire time I was with Maritime. 3 days later I had package quotes and a few days after that we booked my wedding date. (My Wedding date was to be the first of February and the resorts that we were looking into already had some weddings booked for that date!! This says to me that if I had stuck to Maritime travel and went at the pace we were going at I would not have received my wedding date which is RIDICULOUS when I was there a year and a half in advanced.) There is absolutely no reasonable explanation I could think of that would justify having been treated the way I was at Maritime and I caution anybody who decides to work with them. I don't know what it was about me or about my business that attracted that kind of service but I know I will never be dealing with them again in the future.

Dixie at Maritime Travel has been so extremely helpful for all of our family’s travel needs. We booked our honeymoon with her and she was so easy to work with. Always being aware of budget and really listening to our needs and wants. We stayed at an absolutely amazing place in Costa Rica. I really appreciated her suggesting options other than the standard Mexico resorts. I have since recommended her to other family members that have booked multiple vacations and are so happy with her service.

I could not be more disappointed in the service we received.What a waste of time.Zero information and no response back. We kept asking for some dates and she would respond occasionally saying she would email us back that week.And it’s been a month now with nothing
