Our favourite, closest to home ski hill! We visit a few times each season. Always great staff, good hills, good food.

Been skiing here for 35 years - new changes need some work. Waited 17 minutes in the restaurant for anyone to even acknowledge us, and it was only half full. One server was eating at the bar despite appearing to be short-staffed? $50 for two sandwiches and a Diet Coke.Skiing was good, but lineup at Main Street was long and Eagle View wasn't open (despite the web indicating it was). $82 for a lift ticket seems steep.Staff were all great, food was good - appears to be more of a management issue to get the servers sorted and take a look at the lineups or they'll start loosing customers. Focus on bottom-line taking away from the experience.

Still a great hill, and lots of great updates to facilities, but not all great changes. December 27, the full hill isn't open (3 runs + bunny hill), charging full rates, and 45-60 minutes to just get a table inside (Before even ordering food, which we have been advised will be about an hour...for $14 poutine). This is at 2pm, not peak lunch time". There are definitely some logistical issues that need to be addressed. It's sad because I have been skiing here for decades

Been to this on boxing day, amazing staff hospitality. Me and my wife were skiing for the first time ever,their Discover Ski program is a really option and the instructor was also very understanding and accommodating. Since it was our day 1 we were struggling with our sizes and fitment. They have an excellent team on the rental shop they adjust your boots and skiis if you have got our own ( as in our case ) Located in nice serene location would definitely recommend for anyone who wants to start their skiing journey. They also offer variety of programs for beginners to advanced skiers.

What is not to love about Sir Sam's! Definitely made our family vacation a hit.Great views of the trees and lake beyond. Fall and winter alike.Super friendly staff. Great chalet. Awesome skiing trails, perfect for the youngsters and beginners. Wait times for the chairlifts were short. So we could do more skiing than riding the lifts up.Spent time here hiking to view the Haliburton highlands colour change and viewed to return with the family for skiing.We will definitely return for more fun.

Sir Sam's was really fun. I went with my family and it was the perfect place for skiing. I like the variety of hills and the convenient chairlifts nearby. The lodge also had indoor and outdoor seating which I thought was also convenient. The last thing I want to mention is that most days they have a theme for example when we went the theme was snow cone day. There are more that we didn't get to see. But we will definitely come back!(Original review by my 10yr old daughter, we came back the next season and despite fewer runs being open due to the weather it's still a great resort.)
