Burlington Rifle & Revolver Club

I love this place. The ladies who admin the club are nice, polite and very helpful. The gents who run it are very helpful, knowledgeable and good guys. I am a provisional member and look forward to being part of the organization long into the future.

Seems like a nice friendly place, member are very helpful, the only thing is the limited hours to just go and shoot. It is open 24hrs however due to the discipline programs that are organized the best times are taken by these programs.Can’t please all the people all the time I guess.

I have called, and emailed to inquire but no avail. I'm not even sure if they placed me on a waiting list as requested.Update: Feb 2022, I ended up joining an outdoor Gun Club, did my ATT Handgun training there; it is 45 minutes one way driving for me but very scenic drive so I don't mind the beautiful countryside and being an outdoor range, always fresh air to breath which is the best feature for me; it's open 7 days a week. However, I'll still wait for BRRC's reply whenever they'd get to correspondences because it is less than 10 mins drive from my home.

Been a member here off and on since 1994. Great place to shoot but the free shoot hours are becoming very limited.

Nice facility but as pointed out by Ryan D, it is closed all the time because of the disciplines. Fine if you are competitive and want to join one of those but otherwise a waste of time and money if you just want to go somewhere just for the fun of shooting (unless you are a shift worker who can go in the middle of the night). Very cliquey too.

Decent facility, but the COVID years exposed a lot of cracks in management and community. During lockdowns they followed Burlington shutdown rules with no reimbursement or roll overs for the time members were not allowed access to the range. They have also previously publicly expressed that if Handguns were banned or if their range backstop needed to be replaced any time soon they would be shutting down. At the time of review they have not made a statement following the Federal handgun ban and are still happily accepting range memberships fees for 2023. If they do decide to shut down do not expect any reimbursement for your yearly dues!This is the only 24 hour range I am aware of in Ontario and you are really paying for the 12am-6am access if you plan on shooting here regularly. As other reviews have pointed out the scheduled shooting disciplines events take over the range for extended periods upwards of 6 hours on some days, you need to be very diligent checking their calendars if you plan on shooting before midnight any day to make sure you wont be turned away.Other than management the people who shoot here are really hit and miss (pun intended). They ban a LOT of people, I was there a day they banned 7+ in a 24 hour period. The range is monitored by 24 hour video recordings with staff rarely on the range, members of this range all act as Range Officers for each-other which can mean times of comfortably lax range etiquette or control freaks making up rules on the spot with threats of reporting you (shot spacing for example) so there are some very nice people, and some VERY cranky people. Expect aging members to confront you accusing you of shooting Prohibs if you bring a black rifle, half-baked unsolicited advice and general unpleasantness.I'm not gonna beat around the bush, this range is mostly populated by Boomers. Don't expect to be taken seriously if you are younger than 40. Aside from government legislation this community will die out solely because of the gatekeeping from the aging population.pre-2020 despite all the problems this was one of the better ranges in Ontario, with the uncertainty of its survival in question I cant recommend new members, or existing members continue to support. Very little of my complaints can be fixed without major reform which I doubt anyone is willing to put the time in for.Take note that a majority of the good reviews are 5+ years old. Looked the club up and drove to see the facility!Like they say first impressions are the best ...Was very very impressed , I got the grand tour by a member that was just going home ...lolExtremely enthusiastic and very friendly, met some of the members having a coffee and just a bunch of swell men ...I want to join this club as it’s members are very welcoming and also will suit all my needs , best of all , it’s opened 24 hours which accommodates my hectic life schedule !

I am a new member and am very impressed with the ladies that do the administration. The safety protocols are extremely thorough and well presented in the classroom and range. I'm looking forward to exploring the different disciplines.Dave
