I've been a returning customer for a few years and I've only now discovered a piece of hair inside the chocolate. I've tried wiping it off thinking it was my own, but it's not, it's literally wedged inside the chocolate. My biggest phobia is hair inside any food, so this wasn't the most pleasant experience.

I was given a chocolate square with a mallet which we have come to call smash chocolate. It had candies stuck in it and was a joyful and nouvelle way to give a gift of delight. Now I get them whenever I need a gift, or when my grandchildren come for a visit. The chocolate is fabulous. I’d add a picture, but a photographer would have to be an Olympic athlete to snag a picture before it’s gone. Too yummy to just look at.

As soon as you walk in the door you can smell the quality of the chocolate. And then a friendly greetings from one of the nice ladies busy at work making them.As a new comer, I loved that there were sample sizes to can buy. I was really taken back by the interesting and creative flavor combinations and their selection. I am always happy to pay for quality , though the prices did make me wince a little, .. as a middle class person. I bought a few things to try but it is essentially why I didn't/ couldn't buy more.I think Beatrice & chocolat would make a wonderful gift, edition to a bit basket or treat for yourself anyway. I'll definitely be back.

Staff are wonderful and they always have great chocolate staples, along with unique combinations. Love supporting this small business, and eating their delicious treats! For special occasions, make sure to come early so you aren't disappointed (they have a yearly advent calendar that I haven't been able to try out yet because I'm such a slow poke!)
