Great place to feel connected to the community, work together and help those in need. Facility is clean and modern, tools are handled safely and volunteers are well guided.

Niagara Christian Gleaners is an charitably organization committed to produce wholesome and nutritious food for the hungry worldwide. Production was started in December 2018. Since then over one million pound of fruits and vegetables destined for composting have been saved and turned into dehydrated food. This 2 1/2 million plant was paid for by private donations and is debt free. Except for 2 positions all the labour is carried out by hundreds of volunteers.

With so much to do, the morning just flies by when you volunteer! So satisfying to see wasted food go to those who are impoverished and vulnerable. Such a great organization that is well run, with opportunity to met some great hard working people who share commonality in caring for the poor.

Niagara Christian Gleaners is an amazing ministry that seeks to right a wrong in the area of food waste and to be a conduit of mercy in a hurting, hungry world. This is all done in the name of Jesus Christ and for God's glory.

The fact that food that would have been thrown away was instead transformed so that it could be sent overseas to feed hungry people, that this work is being done by volunteers and given to the hungry in the Name of Christ makes Niagara Christian Gleaners a shining light in a dark world.
