Mont Royal Ballet Academy

MRBA provides a great learning environment for its students. The teachers are dedicated, professional and are very caring of their student’s development in ballet, but generally as well! We are so happy that our son will be going there as of September 2020!

I am a colleague of Miss Sandra ( co-director of the Studio and teacher).Her talent was limitless , in ballet at the highest standard plus in modern contemporary styles she was able to adapt to any type of choreography ,flawless , effortless, with natural gift and genuine artistry.I am positive that her teaching must be not only consistent and competent but also healthy and enjoyable for the students, since she is a very skilled and fun person, plus wiser now with experience of it.

Mont Royal Ballet Academy is a phenomenal dance school. Sandra is very professional and an amazing teacher. I would definitely recommend this professional ballet program.

Sandra and Diego are wonderful teachers full of knowledge and experience. Definitely recommend training with them! Plus the studios have great floors for ballet.

If I could give more stars I would, without hesitation. I have been in at least half of the ballet schools in Montreal and none of them could compare to MRB. In the short amount of time I spent there, I learned so much from Diego and Sandra. I am so thankful to have such amazing teachers and to be improving in what I love. This school is wonderful, warm and has a very positive atmosphere. Everyday I am excited to go to the studio and get better at what I love to do without judgment and toxicity.I can with certainty say that their Professional ballet program is the best in Montreal.In general it’s very hard to find a ballet studio that has no bullying, belittling, toxicity and “toxic favoritism” . But, at Mont Royal Ballet Academy none of that is present and all the students can enjoy growing in their art. .Don’t hesitate to send your child there :)

My 10 year old daughter Valentina is a student of Mrs. Sandra Castro- Mühlbauer and her husband Mr. Diego Castro founders of the Mont Royal Ballet Academy dedicated to the formation of professional dancers. The ballet instruction follows the renowned Russian “Vaganova” technique and is called the “Elite” program at the Academy and consists of several years of rigourous training. Valentina is now in her second year. Mr. and Mrs. Castro were both principal dancers with internationally recognized dance companies and both bringing a high level of professionalism and dedication to their art.They are committed to fostering the same values in their students.Because of the pandemic and all the subsequent restrictions, Mrs. Castro-Mühlbauer founded the “Elegance Dance Competition”, the first live virtual competition via Zoom open to dancers worldwide. World class judges and choreographers participated in this very successful event which took place this past May. Since then the Academy has added online classes to its program.Whether ballet or contemporary, the training one receives at the Mont Royal Academy will provide the basis for a future professional career on the stage.Curtain and bow!Georgia K.

Highly motivating teachers with an amazing opportunity to be part of beautifull dance shows and high class end competitions!!! Mont Royal Ballet Academy is wonderful! I take classes here every time I visit Montreal. The classes are great. They are well-structured and well-adapted to the needs of each dancer in the studio. Both Sandra and Diego are highly renowned dancers and amazing teachers/coaches. I love coming here to dance, learn and grow!
