An amazing place to stay, really great site, stayed three days and woke every day to the mountains. My husband and I and our three legged dog loved petting the animals. Thanks so much unfortunately our first meeting was with a gruff older lady. Who did not seem happy. Our names are Grant and Bella Mauthe & Molly from Manitoba( this is my author name)We will definitely look to return and have told everyone about this special place. Stayed in Sept very accommodating when our plans changed.

One of the best campgrounds my husband and I have ever stayed in. We have stayed in almost 100 different campgrounds and this one was a highlight we will remember always. Location was perfect in a quiet, beautiful valley. The deer come right into the campground. Oh, I highly recommend watching the bats come out of their bat abodes at dusk. Sooo cool to watch. The people here are awesome. So friendly, helpful and funny! Read every sign on the property! If you have a sense of humor you will love this place. Bob, Rhonda and Vern take such good care of this place. The lots are so well-kept, beautiful flowers everywhere, the bathrooms/showers are super clean. Lots of great trails right on the property and very close to the Cranbrook Trail system. Thanks so much to Earl! We are sorry we didn't get to say goodbye to everyone. Take care of yourselves. Wishing you all great health and happiness. Will definitely stay again if we're in the area and recommend this place to anyone who loves nature and peaceful surroundings.

This outdoor experience is either going to refresh you or annoy you depending on the type of camper you are.Bob the camp host, looking a little like a white water rafting guide in his Tilly hat and cargo pants, was quick to warmly greet us, and get us into a nice nook in one of the well maintained sites. There is a clean, small pool, showers and a definite serenity about the place. You can really recline and enjoy nature. If your looking for a few of the amenities of home you could be disappointed...no wifi and I had to climb the hill behind our site, best suited to young goats to get any access to my data plan. This was a good deterrent to using my cell and I got some good overdo reading in! We couldn't run air very high and unsure about using multiple appliances with the 15 amp set up...but miraculously we struggled" through these challenges and had a back to basics adventure. Also fair price at just over $40 bucks but beware

Didn't stay there but want to next time!!Beautiful setting, very peaceful and quiet! No highway noise. Friendly owner. No reservations, but you can call ahead to check availability. Some sites have water, power and sewer. They have a sewer dumping spot on site for no extra charge. Beautiful setting! Nature friendly with bat hous s and bird feeders!

Spent three very nice days/nights at Fort Steele Campground. We got a tour of the site the day before we checked in. Very quite. Nice large sites. Clean facilities. The 30amp service ran our A/C without any issues. Hosts are friendly and accommodating. Met some great folks camping there too. We’ll be back again.

DONT STAY AT THIS CAMPSITE! If you want to be totally bullied and micromanaged, stay here. Bully Bob can turn ugly at the snap of a finger. He is rude and ignorant. We were 1/2 hour late leaving on the Tuesday morning after Labour Day (1100 instead of 10:30), and you would have thought it was a Friday afternoon on a long weekend. No one was waiting for our site, and the park was almost deserted. When asked what his hurry was, he said that we obviously hadn't read the rules, and we're supposed to be gone by 10:30. By the end of our conversation, his voice was raised in a threatening fashion, and he was yelling at us to leave his Campground immediately!!!! HE REALLY SHOULD GO BACK TO SCHOOL TO LEARN HOW TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE. This is an extremely poor way to deal with people. HAD I READ THE REVIEWS ABOUT THIS PARK, AND NOT THE FORT STEELE RV RESORT, I WOULD NOT HAVE STAYED HERE. WE CHECKED INTO THE WRONG PARK AND BULLY BOB KNEW IT, BUT CHOSE NOT TO SAY ANYTHING.

Stopped in to visit a friend of my boyfriend's here, and within 1 minute the owner came over and told us we weren't welcome because they don't allow guests. It was the most oddly passive aggressive interaction I've ever had. With tons of campgrounds in the area I'd suggest choosing somewhere else where the owners aren't breathing down your neck.My boyfriend's friend mentioned that his boss who is staying at the same campground had to pay extra when his wife and kids came to visit him. I don't know how insane you would have to be to charge a guy who is working on pipeline all summer to have his family come and visit him.I hope the owner replies to my review and tries to justify their rules because I am genuinely interested to know why he thinks people should visit their families.

This is the first time we camped here. I must admit, I'm not used to going without a reservation, but decided to stop and give this campground a try. Bob was friendly and was quick to greet us.! The campground was neat and tidy, and had a pool and shower facilities. There isn't any wifi and cell reception is hit and miss"
