There were only 2 vegetarian sushi options, but the veg dragon roll was very good! Unfortunately, the chef was a little sick, and made the roll without a mask and breathing through his mouth (nose was stuffed) and sniffling throughout. Again, the roll was great! But if I wasn't starving, I would have asked for either a newly made roll, or more likely, wouldnt touch it, pay for it and leave sadly.

Minato is one of the best places in Halifax for delicious sushi with it's own unique taste. There are tons of sushi places in Halifax, but Minato has a great combination of traditional sushi and then with it's own local flare! I've been here many times and have never had an issue with my order, and the price is great too! Can't wait to come back :)

Stopped by for lunch. They weren't open on time but it didn't take too long for service to start. The broth was good although I feel like the toppings were lacking in variety and quantity in comparison to what I would expect based on how much I paid.In any case, food came quickly, staff were friendly, and restaurant felt quite cozy. It was a good experience.

A great expensive experience I had here. BBQ eel nigiri is awesome, sake is perfect, tuna belly sashimi is highly recommended and the salmon sushi roles are super delicious because of the Korean sushi rice. Will come again soon.Visiting again after a long time:It's even better. Just give the eel role a try followed by sake and miso soup.

Amazing good food! Prices have recently been updated as well, so here is the most up to date menu as of June 2023. I’m from the west coast and the first spot I dined in here on the east coast was Minato sushi! The old school pink classic building just stood out from the rest of the surrounding buildings. It’s well worth it! And it’s only run by husband and wife, super kind and generous vibes from them. Recommend trying it if you are looking for some good Japanese food.

Feel like home. Love the beef teriyaki and of course Sake.Fast preparation of food, very accommodating.
