We called asking if they had vegan options as I have life threatening allergies, and all we got in return was laughter.A lady picked up the phone to answer our question on my friends birthday, and while she seemed nice at first, we overheard her talking with the chef on the topic of vegan options, and heard abrupt laughter. The chef said, “WHO IS VEGAN?” And brushed off the comment, even though we were intrigued by their restaurant. They said they had nothing vegan in a rude tone. Id never recommend this place to anyone, as I’ve heard from others about their terrible experiences.

The perfect end to our crazy day. After making our way from Quadra island, we arrived tired and hungry. We sat at the bar and our bartender Noah was fantastic! Super friendly and knew the menu well. The food was absolutely delicious and Noah even gave us each a free shot after hearing about our day... we needed one!Thanks Noah!!

Our experience was AWFUL. They didn’t allow us inside with the small kids stroller. Manager with silver hair was the most unpleasant to deal with. When we told him that it is cold inside and we need a stroller to keep kid warm he told us that it is our problems and he doesn’t care. Another manager was much better. But this “No strollers” rule is so disrespectful and discriminatory against families with small kids.**I read previous reviews and we are not the only people who experienced that. It looks like 2nd manager was hired to apologise for first awful manager, who might be an owner. Save your money and time, read reviews and don’t go there.

Quite possibly the worst dinning experience our group of 6 has ever had. We were placed outside and quickly asked if we could move tables and were told they don’t move tables because it’s policy. They offered us blankets and one of the staff rudely showed up and said “here is your pile of blankets that you wanted”. It gets worse. We finally convinced one of the staff to let us move one table over because the place was kind of dead and multiple other tables were available. Perfect we thought…we placed our orders and got out food. The steaks were way over cooked, so requested a correction to be made. The server comes back with the food and says “so what do you want us to do about it, I think there was a mistake and you must have gotten each others steaks” which would have made it worse. 5 minutes later one of our family members found two pieces of hair in her meal. We brought it to the attention of the sever WHO ACCUSED HER THAT IT WAS HER OWN HAIR AND NOT THE KITCHENS. The manager came out and smugly acknowledged that he was new and has been getting multiple complaints since starting there and that the owner has some questionable policies. They ended up only comping the two meals, no discount for the other four people who had to witness this. Oh and 4.50$ for a small side portion of tartar sauce if you want it. This is unfortunate because they had the chance to redeem themselves but failed. I will never be going back and will be spreading the word to never visit this restaurant. What a laughable, disappointing experience. Can’t give it zero stars but would If I could.Edit: Reached out to 10Acres and they either blocked me or deleted their IG account…

Beautiful location, nice space - but it was downhill from there. Servers were disinterested, clearly unhappy, and slow. The falafel bowl was an overdressed salad on a plate with odd looking falafel pucks on a sort of sauce - quite bad. And the grilled cheese was just a ton of globby cheese on bread toasted so hard that it damaged your mouth to bite into, along with a harshly acidic soup. Definitely will be giving this place a miss and suggest you do the same.

While I enjoyed the flavour of the gnocchi, it was the smallest portion I've seen for quite the hefty price tag.Do not recommend going for dinner, but they do offer happy hour, and their calamari appetizer was excellent.

We had quite a disappointing meal here this year. The service was less than stellar, a Caesar salad came after the meal was finished. It was taken off the bill, but still! we chose the ice cream for dessert which they said comes with a home made cookie. We received one scoop of vanilla with nothing else. The ice cream was excellent,BUT they said that we ordered a single scoop, which we had not. Fish and chips and Taco’s were acceptable, the mussels were very good.

Nice, bright spot with super views. Food quality was very good although 1 main was a tiny portion compared to the rest (gnocchi-it was very rich (delicious) which might explain the portion) Servers were very nice and accomodated our need to be quick so that we could get to our concert. They were a little stressed, possibly short a person? We will be back!

Consistently a bad dining experience. From slow service, to stingy food portions, to being overcharged on the bill or charged the wrong bill. We’ve experienced it all at the 10 Acres.Today really topped it off. Went for Happy Hour and got the wings. $14 and the plate came with 6 tiny wings. Chips for the fondue was stale and old. Cocktail came half full without ice, straw or any “dressings”. Incredibly disappointing experience. The only reason we even bothered coming back is that it’s one of the few choices in Sidney but can’t justify wasting our money anymore.

Lamb Ragu was great. Burger was good. Deserts were excellent. Service was awesome. My pictures are subpar. Thank you.
