Linen Chest

We went to Linen Chest Carrefour Laval yesterday and bought several things with the help of Roula (Store assistant). She was super helpful and made our experience really pleasant. For that part, I give 5 stars to Linen Chest but the worst was yet to come... Today, we realized we were missing some things and decided to go to Linen Chest located at Promenade de la Cathédrale, Ste-Catherine street... Biiiig mistake. I had gone to that specific store twice in the past and each time the service was really painful but this time beat them all. The staff present at 09:30 am saturday morning could not care less of our presence. The absence of service and arrogance of the staff made us leave the store without buying anything, made me swear to never go back and triggered this review which I rarely do. For all these reasons, I give them a BIG ZERO for the experience and service (absence of service). Fortunately, there are people like Roula and the staff at the Carrefour Laval store.

I had the best experience today with Stephanie at the installation department (for window coverings). I was searching for a pull cord stop lock and to make a long story short, she arranged that this miniscule part be delivered to the LaSalle store at no charge. She took the time to explain that a new law to prevent injuries from blind pull cords prohibits the use of this part and is replaced by a full housing unit to conceal the pull cord. I found our discussion to be informative and exceptionally pleasant. Thank you Linen Chest for this great customer service.

THIS STORE IS A MESS, DONT BUY ANYTHING THERE, THEY WILL NOT DELIVER AND HAVE A LOT OF PROBLEMS

Everything was fine and the shopping experience was pleasant as usual until a senior employee came to me and said: “be careful, it’s fragile” after she heard a little clink I made. I was about to check the price at the bottom of a ceramic tableware and accidentally and very slightly hit it with the lid. No dropping, no breaking, no crack, no scratch… but a very little clink! Not sure if the sound annoys her or simply because she was tired of seeing people taking the items on shelves and then she had to put it back.

I ordered a set online that came with a broken plate. I have emailed their customer service about 2 months ago and didn't receive a reply. I emailed them again 2 weeks ago and still no reply. Customer service is severely lacking. I do not recommend buying anything fragile from them.Update: Changed to 4 stars for quickly solving the problem after I left this review

This shop used to be full with goods and nice staff but now they just want to assign their name on your bill probably for commission but little to no help.

**update** the manager of the store called me to apologize. She was nice and I respect her initiative.-I asked for the drop off service to pick up a Nespresso machine. Staff was rude, had to wait and they never dropped it off. After waiting 30min for nothing we went inside to get it ourself still no proper customer service.This happened beginning of January, online customer service replied just a few days ago… 3 months after.Anyways run away from this shop and brand.

I had a couple of very positive experiences at this Linen Chest. The customer service was great, and the sales people I dealt with provided me with the help and information I needed to make a confident purchase. There is also a huge variety of household items at this location. Very much recommended.
