I was left with a very bad taste in my mouth. I happened to spot the place and wandered in as I had it in the back of my mind to get another tattoo. I spoke to the gentlemen and sat down with a few portfolios. Somehow, they thought it was appropriate to shift the conversation to talking about the Black Panther movie and how it was too politicised because of today's climate. Finally I had had enough when the guy behind the desk started talking about how he doesn't watch movies with accents because he doesnt understand them. As a black person with an obvious accent...i had had enough and made my way out of there. I have no way of knowing whether the guy was legitimately and intentionally rude or just an average level of dumb to what kind of conversation is appropriate with a customer in the store. I love small businesses and really wanted to just let this go. I know this kind of thing can bring you even more business when someone with your similar values and work ethic sees it...so they should be ok. Guys...a little awareness goes a long way. You could have saved your boring conversation until I left.About the art...i didn't see anything that suited the style that I was looking for, but one of the 3 guys (at least) seemed pretty cool in those few minutes.
