One of the best experiences I've ever had. The staff person was very friendly and informative! The displays were absolutely fantastic; the backdrops were very well done and the gophers were phenomenal! Each diorama was memorable and I can't wait to go back and visit this museum again some day!

Pretty goofy and fun place for a quick visit. Entry is by donation. I really enjoyed the paintings and objects put into the backgrounds of the displays.

World Famous Gopher Hole Museum
Visited last summer, and this was such a fun and unique pit stop on the way home from Drumheller. The gopher displays are very cute and detailed, and the lady who works here is nice and friendly. I really enjoyed looking around at all the displays. This museum is great for all ages and I would definitely come back if I am in the area again. There’s also a gift shop!

Hilarious, well maintained, and a fun little stop.The gopher hole museum is a treasure! The puns for each little diorama are excellent and the gift shop and facilities are clean and cute. Highly recommend for anyone who wants to visit a strange little tourist stop that also has some unusual history.

Best little town museum ever!! They are indeed world famous and the staff is very friendly. 2nd visit and this time we brought the in-laws. There was a huge smile on everyone's face, and I could never get bored of the little rascals on display. Couldn't resist getting a porcelain plate with a gopher on it! My only complaint is that it's not bigger, I'd love to see more displays. I hope you get your funding to improve the museum! You deserve it!

I wasn't sure what to expect when my friends told me they were bringing me to a gopher museum but boy was I ever excited when I got there. A bunch of taxidermied gophers in different scenarios is so so cute. Plus the walk around town to look at the hydrants that were painted! Highly recommended

Somehow I expected this to be bigger, but I loved everything I saw. This homage to roadkill is awesome and they have scenes of landmarks around town.They don't have internet, so there's no credit card payment system. They take donations and have a gift shop, so bring cash.Sign their guestbook as well because they're trying to apply for museum status to help upkeep the place.

I am writing this review based on what our U11 hockey team had to say. IT WAS AWESOME ! The kids absolutely loved the gopher displays and it seemed the most popular one was the gopher with guns. We would like to extend a huge thank you for the owner/staff opening the doors out of season so that everyone could enjoy this piece of Alberta history ! We were there on the weekend of Feb 3, 4, 5th.....
