Great garden centre with tons of selection on all kinds of plants, trees, cacti, flowers, etc. The soil and nutrient selection is great and I saw so many cute and trendy garden accessories, planters, pots and extras that caught my eye. I could spend a lot of time in this place !! Love it. I will be back :)UPDATE: I had to take 1 star off because I keep buying plants from here and usually notice when I get home that theyre infested with either white powdery mildew/mold or most of my cactuses have had active mealybug infestations. There needs to be more quality control, as some of these plants are quite expensive. Have uploaded a few photos of the bug/mold issues. Otherwise I do still enjoy this store and they do have lots of items other garden centres do not carry.

Great variety of plants with a few interesting home decor items for your outdoor patio. Rather small collection of tropical plants. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Best of all is it’s location right next to Tiffany Falls.

Beautiful plants year round. All of their tropicals are so happy and vibrant. You can tell that the folks here tend to them with great care.

Fantastic selection of healthy plants and even better staff. This place truly cares about the level of service and quality of the plants they sell.Let’s start off at how huge this place is. You will find many things you love and didn’t know you needed. My plants are all super healthy months later from here. The prices are super fair and the staff here is just incredible. Highly knowledgeable and ready to share… they go above and beyond to find the right plant for you. It’s one of my fav garden centres in the GTA and beyond.

Harper’s is our go-to for Christmas swag (boughs, garlands, wreaths, etc), we’ve done backyard landscaping with their fantastic limestone, and their tree selection is varied and eclectic considering their relatively small footprint. Their staff is knowledgeable, the cafe is a fun perk for donuts for the kids, or an espresso for the parents. At Christmas it’s especially nice that they’ve got a fire always burning. For those who care there’s lots of selfie opportunities too. I wish they had vegetables and herbs for the garden but their perennials and annuals keep us coming back regardless. I do miss buckwheat (the bearded dragon) but he may have moved on with the original Harper’s family when the business was sold a few years back.

AMAZING selection of houseplants year-round, from the common to the rare. Visiting during the winter is especially enjoyable, with the warm, humid air and the smell of greenery.Their garden centre has a wide and interesting selection of trees, shrubs and perennials, all in excellent condition. But I must take exception to their selling of plants widely known to be invasive. Plants listed by the Ontario Invasive Plant Council are being sold here, presumably because customers are looking for them. And they’re buying invasive plants because they figure a plant can’t be harmful if a reputable garden centre is selling it.Last week, I asked a staff member why Harper’s was selling lily of the valley, one of the most invasive plants in Ontario. She shrugged that we all like different things. That attitude makes Harper’s look like a supplier of legacy plants - i.e., either ignorant or indifferent.I get it: a garden centre is a business, not an education centre. But Harper’s could at least put a cautionary sign beside invasive plants, with suggestions for alternatives. And on a related note, we are trending towards gardening with more native plants, and we are increasingly spending lots of money replacing old plants with natives. In-demand Ontario native plants are sold out everywhere I search. Please carry more Ontario-specific native plants next year.

This garden centre has everything you could possibly want or need for all your landscaping projects. It even has fish and pond accessories. They also sell lawn furniture. The staff are plentiful and knowledgeable. There’s a small cafe with souvenir shop if you want to have a coffee or hot chocolate.
