So thankful I found this grooming salon! I have a straight and wiry haired cockapoo that sheds a lot. Upon arrival, I told Giulia to shave her, but she quickly assessed her coat and determined that would only worsen the shedding problem. She recommend a different grooming technique that would better suit my dog's coat because of her high level of training and knowledge. If I had taken my dog to her usual groomer, her coat would have been damaged and the shedding would be worse as a result. However, when I took my dog home after seeing Giulia I noticed there was no hair left behind on me or in the car, which was an amazing relief.Giulia is also super sweet and you can tell straight off how much she cares for and adores dogs, which put me at ease upon trying a new groomer. After trying many deshedding shampoos to no avail, I am so happy to have found her. My dog hasn't felt this soft since she was a puppy. I would absolutely recommend Giulia and the salon to everyone!

First time bringing my pup Charlie in today and he looks absolutely adorable! The owner was very easy to speak to over the phone. I had called a few times with different questions and she was very accommodating and picked up every time while other grooming salons failed to do so. I am inexperienced in the dog grooming world as my mother always took care of this for Charlie and we recently lost her. In saying this, I really appreciated this amazing first experience. Charlie seemed calm and well behaved when I picked him up. She did amazing finishing touches such as a super cute animal print bandana and even a little discount on his teeth brushing. I also appreciated the convenient text I recieved when he was ready for pick up. Unfortunately, my husband and I are moving to Milton in a few weeks. We still will have our condo for rent in Vaughan though, so when I am in the area, I will definitely be coming again with Charlie! Thanks so much for the fantastic service :)

I recently had my dog groomed at Dogpolitain. After picking her up, I noticed her eyes were extremely blood shot. I called them to ask what happened and they told me that dogs’ burst blood vessels when they are distressed and/or are pulling on the noose choking. There was also no apology or empathy for my injured dog. Every groomer knows that if the dog is distressed the groomer is to stop and take a break. They obviously continued to the point that my dog’s blood pressure was so high from pulling on the noose (lack of oxygen) that she was bursting blood vessels in her eyes. It’s been a week and they are still red and getting worse. This may warrant a trip to the vet to see what’s going on with her. Every other groomer I’ve taken her too has said she’s extremely calm and easy going. After her appt she was extremely agitated and refused to eat. I’m extremely concerned as to what went on in that salon while my dog was there for her to pop the blood vessels in BOTH her eyes like that. I DO NOT recommend this groomer.

Been coming here for about a year now. I have an Old English Sheepdog that is a few years old now. Groomer here is always professional and courteous. Groomer is accommodating for drop off hours and is fast to respond when setting up appointments. Does a good job being friendly with my dog. There hasnt been any cuts or nicks after haircut and considering she is a large breed with lots of energy, this is impressive. Dog isnt scared at coming here and gets along with other dogs that are kept there during the day.Got a lot of compliments after most recent haircut on dog. Will continue to coming back here and recommend Dogpolitan anytime my dog's groomer comes up while I am out walking her.attached is photo right after most recent cut

My name is Brutus, I am a male French bulldog, and proud of it! I have been going to Dogpolitan for over 3 years now and always look forward to going there. I go there once a month. I love being pampered and look forward to seeing all the other dogs there being so happy and playful, especially Aston the Doberman who I enjoy playing with a lot. Alessia the owner really takes good care of me. She is so loving and affectionate and not only that, she does a great job! My owners are also very happy with her services and it really shows once I get home. I recommend all dogs to try this service once and I know for sure that you guys will always look forward to going back!

Absolutely love this groomer. Our dog has never been happier after a groom. This groomer is honestly the sweetest and she treats every dog like it was her own

I have brought my dog Mollie in for grooming a total of 3 times over the last I would say 1.5 years. First visit was about 1.5 years ago and afterwards we found a groomer closer to home and used her until the groomer got injured and I decided to return to Dogpolitan as they had done a good job previously. They had groomed my dog twice from July - September. The last visit in September I was unable to pick up my dog so my boyfriends mom did the pick up. When I came to their house to get Mollie, I was informed that the groomer who brought her out was very rude and stated that Mollie shows extreme signs of pain in her back legs and should NOT be brought in without being on pain medicine. I tried calling the salon multiple times to get more information as I was obviously panicked and had a vet appointment scheduled instantly. I even went so far as to schedule physiotherapy for her as the best places get booked up months in advance. Today I have confirmation from both her vet and the top rated canine physiotherapist That she is in perfect health (especially for her age). This makes me very concerned for what they had done to her for her to show such (as they called it) extreme pain.

Alessia and her staff are awesome. I have taken our puppy Luna to her twice and she is wonderful. She has provided a great experience for our dog and she is very talented. Great service, very caring and responsive to our needs for our puppy and gets her looking great. We would recommend her to all our pet owner friends and family. Keep up the great work you do Alessia.

I have been taking my 3 puppies here for almost two years. Alessia and her team make my dogs feel so welcome I will never take them elsewhere. Not only do they do an amazing job they taught me how to properly care for my one dog that constantly gets matted so I can be a better fur parent. Absolutely would recommend everyone.10/10

Today was Remy’s first hair cut and we clearly stated that we only wanted definition on his face and his butt, he’s a cockapoo but they cut off his hair until you can see his skin. they said they were only taking off a half an inch. When we got there to pick him up we didn’t even recognize him. She said the reason they cut his hair like that is because he looks more like a poodle than a cocker spaniel. This doesn’t matter to me because Remy is not a poodle. He is cockapoo and they should have followed the directions we had agreed upon and they didn’t. I practically started crying when I saw him from how different he looked. I would not recommend this place and I’m never coming back.
