Good equipment, but extremely unprofessional from a business standpoint. Their yard is not at the address on the website, the equipment that was promised was not at the rental yard and I had to drive 20 minutes in the opposite direction to go pick it up, was accused of not refuelling upon equipment return, and had to fight for a week after returning the equipment to get my $500 deposit back. Will not be using them again.

Wow! We just had a great experience with Ben and the folks at YYC Equipment Rental. Our rental process was affordable and without issue. They even spent some extra time walking me through the process of how to safely and accurately use the equipment we rented. I still cant believe how easy this rental was! Thanks Ben!!

I have been working for ben now for 2 months and I have only made 650. He has always got an excuse for why he can't pay up and promises pay and manages to find an excuse. He has got a couple loyal friends and he has been threatening me with his buddies and so on because we want to collect our wages. He breaks things then blames the employees.

I didn't personally do business with them. the last snow fall we had Ben helped me after i slid off the road and offered to pull my truck out with his bobcat that he was using in the parking lot he was plowing next to me. it was amazing that he helped me.

Very dishonest and corrupt individuals. Overpriced and unreliable equipment. Maybe a one or two person operation (meaning you can only get a hold of one individual if you have any problems or issues). I rented a skidsteer from this company and they delivered it empty (no fuel), and it broke down after the first 30 minutes. The individual I was dealing with said we broke the machine and would not refund our rental charge. There was no rental agreement and rental charges were made to personal accounts (not YYC business account). The rental charge for skidsteer was 575.00 for 24 hours, and another 400.00 for delivery charge. Would have been reasonable price if equipment was in new working condition, but very over priced for the poor condition the equipment YYC rented to us. The individual we were dealing with wanted 800.00 at first for etransfer sent to his personal account, but fortunately we only transferred 500.00. In the end we were out 900.00 for 30 minutes (total amount of time the skid steer worked). I should have read the reviews on this company before we rented from them, sounds like similar experiences.

Overcharged on advertised price. I chose these guys because they advertised a half day rental including trailer, which I confirmed verbally and by text. No issues with equipment, but was overcharged almost three times as much, they cited fuel and a trailer charge. I forgot about fuel and offered to pay for what I used, but not the trailer (which apparently costs more then the bobcat rental). Would not recommend these guys, and will be filing a formal complaint. Update: I had some back and forth with the owner which border on infuriating and entertaining. I guess the customer IS NOT always right....

I had a similar experience to one of the other posters. I saw an ad on Kijiji for $79 Bobcat rental for half a day (most other places charge ~$200). I confirmed with Ashley on the phone what the price was, because on their website it says $220. She said, Oh

If you look up Bernard Penner you’ll see a lovely track record of stolen equipment and assault on women.Specific to the business, expect not to eat your deposit back because somehow you “broke” the equipment.After bantering with him he sent an invoice of the “charges” and then sent me half of what the invoice said I was entitled to. When I called him out in it he called me swearing in the first 5 seconds.
