Hiring Kayla was one of the best decisions we made with our second baby’s birth. Kayla was there to answer any questions I had before my birth. She addressed all of my fears of the birthing process (even though I have already done it once), going over every detail with me with explanations, reading and even diagrams. She took more time with me than I was expecting and it really showed me that she cared and I felt so comfortable and trusting with her. It was a beautiful thing going into labour feeling not only totally mentally prepared, but having someone to be my coach and help me physically through the birth process. My second labour progressed really fast, and she met us at the hospital and was with us every step of the way, even hours after birth. She even came for a postpartum check up and brought the sweetest gift. Without going into too much detail, everything that she did for us was above and beyond what we were expecting for prenatal and postpartum care and will be remembered and appreciated forever. If you are looking for a Doula, Kayla is incredible and is highly recommended.

If there is one person, besides my husband, that has had a positive impact on my pregnancy journey it is Kayla. She made me feel confident and empowered in each decision and unexpected turn. Her calm presence and mindful encouraging words made me feel at ease and ready for what’s to come. I consider Kayla a valuable part of my birth team. She was at my hospital birth with an OB and my home birth with midwives and if we have more kids, she will absolutely be there! I can truly say that with each experience, Kayla made sure I was well informed of everything that was happening (especially in a chaotic hospital environment) and advocated for me. Every family member and friend that I have recommended Kayla to, have been very grateful to have her as their doula. She is also a wonderful photographer and has captured beautiful memories of my pregnancy and newborn photos. Kayla is someone you meet for the first time and you feel like you’ve known her your whole life. I’m very blessed to have her as part of my birth story. Kayla was amazing. She supported me throughout my pregnancy and made me feel so supported every step of the way. She helped me work through my feelings of trauma from previous births and took the time to listen to my every anxious thought. She was always kind, caring, encouraging, geniune, and patient throughout everytime we met, messaged, or called. She was truly a bit part of why my pregnancy and birth experience turned out to be so peaceful and beautiful. My first two births i didnt have a doula and i did not have good birth experiences. My third birth, with Kayla by my side, was the most amazing birth experience i ever could of hoped and dreamed of. I am truly excited to give birth again, Lord Willing, and when i do, I know without a doubt that i would love Kayla by my side to add that necessary support and encouragement. I would reccommend Kayla to anyone who desires to have a great birth experience!

We hired Kayla as our doula for the birth of our first son and what a wonderful experience it was from day one! Kayla is a patient, kind and gentle soul. She provides this level of support and comfort that is unparalleled. Even in the midst of the pandemic, Kayla ensured we always felt supported. She provided us with virtual meetings during the pregnancy for education, support, for us to ask questions and to help us form a birth plan. We had decided on a home birth and Kayla was so supportive and encouraging of this. Kayla arrived during my labour with all the options for pain control. She helped advocate for me during my labour when I was asked to move into a position that didn't feel right for my body. Then there was her gentle hand to help me latch our son and learn to breastfeed for the first time. The check ins with Kayla post birth were my favourite, it was amazing to have someone so knowledgeable and non-judgemental to ask all your questions to!Kayla was affordable, understanding, easy to work with and communicate with and is just an all around lovely human. She was born to be a doula and it just radiates from her when you meet her!! I would recommend her a million times as a doula!!My son is now 14 months old and my spouse and I had such an amazing and empowering experience that we still smile and laugh about it!!

We are so thankful for Kayla! Kayla was our doula and photographer for the birth of our son. Before the birth she walked us through the birthing process and what to expect from the experience which gave me confidence and peace. At the birth, she was so attentive to my needs and truly helped make my birthing experience wonderful. I don’t know how she was able to educate and calm me all while offering amazing pain relief AND documenting the process with amazing photographs our family will cherish forever. We were very fortunate to have Kayla as the doula for the homebirth of our son. She was very knowledgable and able to provide us with any resources we needed. Kayla was timely with responding to any questions or concerns we had and always followed through. I can’t say enough great things about our experience with Kayla! From the time we hired her to after my birth, she was always quick to respond, organized, knowledgeable, and so friendly.She kept in touch with me regularly leading up to my birth which was very reassuring. She provided amazing tips and resources for my planned home birth and came prepared with a variety of comfort measures and suggestions during labour.Everything went as I had hoped, and having Kayla there really was a huge part of my amazing birthing experience. We are also very fortunate to have had her capture this special moment, and we have the most beautiful photos to look back on and share with our daughter in the years to come. I highly recommend Kayla and her amazing services ❤️.

Kayla was amazing right from the moment when we hired her. She really takes the time to get to know you as a person, what your birth plan is, and how your labours were in the past if applicable. She wants to help you feel confident before going into your labour. She has EVERYTHING you will need for your labour. She is very knowledgeable. She is the reason why I was able to have my unmedicated birth. She keeps you focused and positive. She is very easy to communicate with. She would check in on me prior to going into labour. She would check in after birth as well to make sure me and babe were doing great. She helped with getting the baby to latch after birth as well. All in all I just felt SO CONFIDENT before labour, during labour and after labour. My only regret is not hiring her for birth photography as well! Will definitely hire her again should I have another baby. Thank you Kayla!!

I’d hire her all over again!From the first phone call with Kayla I knew that I needed her at my birth. Her voice was calming and caring. She was very knowledgeable and relatable. We had several calls, texts and in person meetings leading up to labour and delivery. It felt like I’ve known her for years! She took beautiful maternity photos for us as well. I had several days of Braxton hicks and she stuck close by communicating and staying updated incase she needed to rush to us. The day of labour and delivery we were texting back and fourth she was very reassuring that I knew my body. As soon as I decided she came right over! We decided on home birth and rented her birth pool which was amazing! She was an all-star crating buckets of water to help fill up the pool (my husband and I didn’t measure the hose ahead of time haha oops), checking on my well being and making sure my husband was doing good also! She applied counter pressure and suggested other coping strategies for natural pain management. She reminded me that I was safe and in control of my birth story, that I was empowered and she had my back. She took amazing birth photos for us and captured the special moment we got to meet our son! She came over a couple weeks later for after care, bringing a beautiful thank you gift which included her version of my birth story! I cannot say enough great things about her! She’s so sweet and truly cares about you and your baby! If you are thinking of hiring a doula/ birth photographer Kayla is your girl!! You will not regret it!

We couldn't recommend Kayla in a higher regard! At the start of the Covid pandemic we decided to higher Kayla for a home birth of our first baby. At such an uncertain time while all our pre-registered birthing and baby classes were cancelled, Kayla took the time to go over everything we needed to know, everything we would have learned elsewhere, and reassured us that things would be okay.She was available via text or call anytime we had a question about anything!On the day of our daughters birth in May, she was a strong, encouraging, very welcome and peaceful presence in our home. She provided tools & exercises to help manage pain during contractions, and moral support for everyone.Kayla checked in with us for the weeks to follow after our daughter was born to see how we were feeling, and managing as new parents.We couldn't have had a better first time birth & Doula experience! We love Kayla and are very grateful for her!
