When Crown says they'll be there, they actually show up, unlike others that I've tried. The gentleman that they sent did our job quickly and perfectly. The lady on the telephone is very pleasant and a pleasure to speak with. Do yourself a favour and call Crown Plumbing first.

$1200 for a simple snake job. Stay far far away.My main drain was backed up and I called Crown plumbing and heating to come and fix the issue. On the phone I specifically told them the issue.They came unprepared for the task. They didn’t even bring a rotary power snake to unclog the drain. Instead they used a flat bar which didn’t work. Worker left for another job until the proper tool arrived.I was charged for the failed first attempt at unclogging the drain with the incorrect tool for the job (2 hours $250). I was also charged for time it took for guy with the correct tool to arrive (2 hours another $250) and finally another 2 hours and another $250. a whopping 6 hours $750! in labour for a job that should have taken 1 hour maximum with the proper equipment that a plumber should have on hand.I was also invoiced the cost of the “power rotary snake fee” for $285. Coincidentally that’s the same price to rent the tool from Home Depot for an entire week.Tack on the “truck fee” of $30 (whatever that bogus charge is) plus HSTA few days after the service I received the invoice in the mail. I was absolutely shocked. A whopping $1200.00!!!!! For a simple task that they should have been prepared for. I tried via email attempting to correct the amount I was invoiced. They do not respond to emails in a timely manner.After multiple attempts, Jill Crown did eventually respond and offered to take off one hour of labour, bringing the total down to $1050.00. As if I should be grateful for still being blatantly ripped off. I’m still being overcharged by 4 hours @ $125 per hour. Still unacceptable.All I am asking is that I am billed for the correct amount of time directly spent working on my issue. I should not be on the hook for the disorganization and lack of tools necessary for basic plumbing. I should also not be charged extra hours for hours that weren’t legitimately worked.

They're my neighbors and we have history going back over 20 years now. Honest, straight forward and they know their stuff.

Thanks Chris and Crown Plumbing. Certainly recommend these guys. No heat during a difficult time and these guys made things happen at a reasonable price. Will be doing a replacement furnace with this company in the fall.
