The campgrounds are wide open,no privacy between spots, tell you to take your pet outside the grounds to pee,( don't know why,since there is no real lawn to worry about,and Ed the host is just plain miserable, his wife on the other was pleasant. Never going back

Very Disappointed with this TripMy wife's family was having the first reunion since COVID-19. We arrived at the site and found the campground to be nice. After the reunion two of the family members wanted to come back to the site to visit a little. Ed (owner) would not allow this. He came to site and and informed us that he would not allow this and used very explicit language to explain his stand on this issue. We informed the visitors that they had to collect themselves and leave the campsite. Ed came back, a very short time later, and further informed us of his displeasure with the visitors, again using very unprofessional language. The visitors promptly left with one of our camping group to leave the property. Ed came back and accused the camping group that the visitors did not leave...This was not the case.The visitors were not on site. He used vulgar language in front of our young children. Yes the kids were still up as this was only 9:30pm. Ed came back a short while later but did not approach us. He literally lurked in the darkness and was watching our camp site presumably to see if the visitors came back. Our neighbor warned us that he was stalking our campsite. We then angled a flash light our there and saw him in the darkness. I can tell you that this has scared the children in the group to the point that they don't want to go there again. Regardless we wont be going there again. Shame as Rosebud is such a great place. I really think the town council should do something about the ownership there.

Long review but honest and factual.Jeanne was a nice host and accommodating but unfortunately her husband Ed is miserable and a control freak. It seemed to start out ok as he tried to assist backing up the trailer (wasn’t needed but thought it was a nice gesture). Things changed. At 10:20 pm our 1 of 2 dogs barked once or twice a couple times. They were not continuously barking which I would totally understand. He came by on his cart and said “you best keep them quiet or it will be an early weekend for you”. Ok thank you for the warning but professionalism can go a long way. They live on site right smack in the middle so he is ALWAYS riding his golf cart around. I swear he is running laps and also maybe he should slow down as well sometimes. They have designated pet friendly sites which I think is an amazing idea until they ask for you to walk your pets outside the gates to go to the bathroom and will constantly remind you throughout your stay. If there has been issues in the past maybe charge a pet fee or inspect the site before check out or just don’t allow pets. I don’t camp to have a helicopter owner. Second day we had 5 guests visit our site as we just finished the Tyrell museum at 4 and going to the rosebud show at 5. We aren’t drinking or being loud at all. We accidentally parked in a spot next to our site without realizing since there is no trees dividing and just being oblivious. Ed the Owner came by to address this issue which is fine but how he handled the situation was ignorant. he yelled from his smelly golf cart and said “hey who owns these cars” (there was our car and another for our guests) we realized and was getting our keys to move them. He said again “I said who owns these cars” we said sorry we are moving them. He asked my one guest “did you check in” and since they didn’t see a sign they had do my guest said “oh we are not staying the night”. Ed proceeded to say “I need to know who the hell is on my sites so you need to check in”. How dare you talk to customers like that who is bringing money to Rosebud and supporting. Respect and being professional will get you very far. This is a long review but is honest. There is so much potential for this campground. Do better as a business and try addressing your concerns in a different way. I will never come back, my guests won’t come back and I would warn people to not go. We are coming back to Rosebud with all our guests again in the fall but refuse to stay there. There are other campgrounds not far from the beautiful town of Rosebud. I would rather stay in Drumheller at that point.This is a quiet and peaceful campground and again Jeanne was polite but sadly the man ruins that experience for you.

Lovely little campground beside Rosebud town. Friendly owners helped back us into our spot and checked on us a few times a day to see if we were ok in the +37 heat.Ice and ice cream available at the store. The trailer dump is beside the grain elevator in town. Good power and water hook up. Sad that the golf course closed.

Highly Recommend!We've camped at High Eagle RV Park at least twice a year since we bought our trailer in 2018. Owners Ed and Jeanne helped us with our first time ever backing up and staying in our trailer. They are great hosts and we look forward to seeing them and starting each season camping there.

Highly recommended! A meticulously maintained campground with complete services in a beautiful spot on the edge of Rosebud. Ed and Jeanne were incredibly helpful and entertaining, and a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely be back.

My wife and I were just there for 3 nights to celebrate our anniversary. Honestly, when I first read the reviews before going, I was a little nervous. Absolutely NO idea why half these reviews are so negative. From the time we pulled in until the time we left we were treated like family!! Several times per day the owners would come by and ask if we needed anything. We ended up going into town, which is a very short walk, to explore the town and for the shows. We were able to book everything right at the campground and had absolutely no issues with any of it. On the Saturday night Ed and a few of his friends even played and sang on the stage in the park. The bathrooms and showers were very good and very clean. We were given a spot right beside the river with some decent shade for most of the day. There are some spots with no shade for sure and also some pull through sites for motor homes. We had absolutely no issues and will definitely be going back and also recommending to friends!!

Disappointing experience at this campground. Expecting a nice treed area with view of the creek but not at all what we got.Most sites are wide open and campers are stacked right next to eachother. There were a ton of ants throughout area as well and litter like sun flower seeds on the ground. Fire pits are limited as well to the lucky folks who request early. Washroom facilities are clean but dated and in need of some maintenance. Showers are overly price at 3 mins for a dollar.Pricing for amenities seemed a little high as there is no sewer connection and thee town provides the dump site on other side of creek. Most discerning was being over charged for our stay compared to what is advertised on website. Camp host reply when I brought up concern was that if I mentioned before paying that they would have charged me less. Also the town of Rosebud was very small offering limited activities within walking distance of Campground. Rosebud creek is overgrown with bushes and bank is very steep, making it hard to access any water for fishing or playing with kids.Camp hosts were friendly and polite. There is a nice antiques shop set up near entrance with some amazing finds but again over priced.Overall we would not return to this campground as for similar pricing we can stay near Drumheller and have access to more activities and river access.

Nice campground on the creek but the host micromanages a little too much. It’s definitely quiet and clean but I wish they would allow tents on our own site instead shuffling them to the back Tents are allowed but couldn’t have them near our site. Make sure have enough gas before coming no gas stations in rosebud nearest town was drumheller. Cell coverage is very poor.
